Summary: The Movement Disorder Society is an international professional society of clinicians, scientists, and other healthcare professionals, who are interested in Parkinson's disease, related neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders, hyperkinetic movement disorders, and abnormalities in muscle tone and motor control. The spectrum of clinical disorders represented by the Society includes but is not limited to: Parkinson's disease and Parkinsonism, dystonia, chorea, Huntington's disease, tremor and essential tremor, myoclonus and startle, tics and Tourette syndrome, restless legs syndrome, stiff person syndrome, and gait disorders.
