Feb Irish tune of the month, working on all the little ornaments. Fun Stuff!!
Love this tune and have been working on it for quite a while, finally got at least 1 run through fairly close to accurate.
My take on another old classic. Kind of patterned after Edden Hammons version; GDAE tuning. Recorded 2/21/2013
My take on an old classic. I like to do it in a medley of Mason's Apron / Wake Up Susan / Billy Wilson. Key of A; GDAE tuning. Recorded 2/21/2013
my quick take on the classic. I love playing this one with a banjo player.
Grey Craig's Flying Clouds
Okay, I was playing with Frank Moore today. Out back of the house. We got our Yuma winter back so that means sunny and in the 70’s today which means Time To Play! So we’re playing lots of cool tunes, Pig Ankle Rag, McMitchen’s Reel (aka Hog Trough Reel); Trot Along My Honey; even the old fiddle version of Durang’s Hornpipe when I start playing this tune. I never played it before and can’t even come up with a name so help us out here. If you got the name, let me know by email. I’ll post it once I figure it out. Hope I remember it to play at the dance next week in Tucson! Play Nice, Dan OKAY! The HangOut comes through. It's been named. Thanks to fiddlepogo and OT Junky. Thanks folks.
Yew Piney Mountain

I've updated this tune with the addition of guitar backing. A Scottish Strathspey.
A medley of the Canote Brothers' tune 'Dogs in the Dishes' with the traditional tune Twin Sisters. This version of Twin Sister I learned from Chance McCoy's Appalachian String Band album. It's a little different than some other versions.
Another Canadian Jig
A well know Canadian Jig
Recorded with Audacity, Fiddle, Guitar & Bass.
A brief sound clip of my Amberlethe trademark violin.
