The end of the week is approaching and what a fascinating day of football yesterday, especially in the Carling Cup. Premier League leaders Chelsea fell 4-3 to Newcastle in an instant cup classic. Chelsea trailed 3-1 in the second half and went down to ten men through injury. They fought back resiliently to level the scoreline before Shola Ameobi (Ambeoi-like) headed in the winner from a corner. Not a good time to be a supporter on Merseyside. After Everton crashed out to Brentford on penalties the day before, the red half of Merseyside also fell on penalties, this time to Northampton Town. But England wasn't the only action from yesterday: Cesena finally lost, Inter moved top, Roma lost again, and Milan found themselves in another 1-1 scoreline. Yes, there was even a thriller in MLS when Josh Wolff scored for Kansas City in the 96th minute to defeat Houston 4-3. Kris Voakes will join us live from the Juventus match and give us his thoughts on all things Serie A. Neil Ashton from the News of the World will join us for a review of a fantastic day in the Carling Cup. James Park and David Chattaway from Brand Finance will join the show to discuss the various financial troubles throughout the world of football. They will also go over the list their company made on the top ten football clubs value based on brand. Jeff Carlisle from ESPN Soccernet will join us to give a review of MLS midweek action and also preview the marquee match-up on Friday between New York and LA.
