 #25 - Star Wars Episode VII Speculation | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:37:01

Welcome to Positively Nerdy!  Along with the recent announcement of Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm came the announcement that fans have waited a very long time to hear: there will be an Episode 7, 8 and 9.  Currently announced for 2015 the long-awaited sequel trilogy already has the internet in a frenzy and Positively Nerdy is certainly no exception.  I am joined by Mike Lacey (co-host on 'What the Shell' and 'Wrestleshock') to go over our own fanboy speculations for the sequel trilogy.  Will we see Luke, Leia and Han return?  Will the Sith re-emerge as a threat to the galaxy?  What connections might we get to the movies that have come before?  Mike and I go over these topics and more in this episode because it's never too early to get excited for Star Wars

 #24 - Wreck-It Ralph! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:48:44

Welcome to Positively Nerdy!  The newest film for Walt Disney Animation is finally here and since it combines two things I love, Disney animation and video games, you knew there would be a podcast covering the film.  My special guest for this episode loves Disney animation and video games just as much as me, if not more so, and it's none other than Pixel Dan!  Dan and I spend the episode gushing about the variety of video game references, cameos and Easter eggs, and even manage to find time to talk about the film itself and it's delightful original characters and unique new video games.  Wreck-It Ralph is an absolute must-see for animation and video game fans alike and this is your guide to the movie, the games and so much more!  "I'm gonna wreck it!" visit my special guest, Pixel Dan, at: www.pixel-dan.co

 #22 - Disney Buys Star Wars | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:21:52

Welcome to Positively Nerdy! And this is positively the biggest nerd-news ever. Disney has purchased Lucasfilm for $4 Billion and has already announced the third trilogy! What else does this monumental deal mean for both Disney and Lucasfilm, specifically Star Wars? I can’t pretend to know but that won’t stop me from speculating. From the early hints with the hiring of Kathleen Kennedy to the long-standing Disney/Star Wars relationship, perhaps we should’ve seen this coming. This episode was recorded the night the news broke and my thoughts are jumbled, scattered and many but most importantly positive! After all, just look at what Disney has done with Pixar and Marvel. As Darth Vader once said: This will be a day long remembered

 #21 - Garfield’s Halloween Commentary | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:28:17

All good things must come to an end...  But before we close out the Halloween episodes here at Positively Nerdy there is time for one more commentary special.  This time around I am joined by Suine Hallock to watch and share in 'Garfield's Halloween Adventure'.  Will this delightful animated classic still scare Suine and I as it did when we were kids?  We share stories, trivia and sing along to this holiday classic that doesn't show its age in any way.  'Garfield's Halloween Adventure' is one of my absolute favorite animated holiday specials and I sincerely want to thank Suine Hallock for joining me.  Happy Halloween, everyone! Visit Suine and check out all of his reviews at: www.houseofhallock.com Candy, candy, candy, candy, candy, candy

 #20 - Three Years of Comic Reviews! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:22:03

Welcome to Positively Nerdy!  This week marks my third anniversary of sharing my love of comic books through reviews and discussion.  I spent most of the last three years doing written reviews for the Pop Culture Network, but now have my own podcast and have started a whole new era of celebrating my fandom from comic books and beyond!  This week, before getting into new comic reviews, I share a look back at the comics reviewed in my first-ever batch of reviews.  Then it's on to the week in review including Talon#1, Amazing Spider-Man #696, FF #23, The Flash #13 and The Ultimates #17.  And to wrap up this anniversary special I share my thoughts on the recent announcement regarding the future of Spider-Man and his place inside Marvel NOW!  What do I think of the wall-crawlers future and what title took the honor of Top of the Stack?  The answers await inside this week's podcast!  Listen and enjoy

 #19 - The Twilight Zone | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:56:27

Welcome to Positively Nerdy! This special Halloween episode comes to you directly from the Twilight Zone. While the Twilight Zone may not have anything specific to do with Halloween, this seemed as good a time as any to discuss the landmark series. It’s impossible to discuss The Twilight Zone alone so I went and found some help by way of Twilight Zone-super fan, Suine Hallock and Pixel Dan! Suine, Dan and I discuss our connection to and history with the series and our choices for the stand-out, must-see episodes the series has to offer. And since that’s not enough we wrap things up by revealing our personal favorite episodes! The Twilight Zone is an institution in popular culture and genre entertainment and that’s why we celebrate it!  #18 - Comics with Catch-Up! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:43:48

Welcome to a very special Halloween edition of Comics with Catch-Up on Positively Nerdy!  This time around I am joined by none other than Dylan Cook, the host of 'What The Shell?' the TMNT podcast, to discuss the 'forgotten' Batman story: The Long Halloween.  Dylan and I both believe it is a tragedy that this story is not more commonly referred to as the quintessential Batman epic we believe it to be.  Dylan and I discuss this murder-mystery from top to bottom (without ever spoiling the mystery!) from the art of Tim Sale and the once-great writing of Jeph Loeb to the variety of super-villain appearances and even the dark decent into Batman's psyche.  And if you love Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight' we share how much that film borrowed from this story.  The Long Halloween is not only a must read Halloween story but a must-read Batman classic and that's why we celebrate it
