Beer America TV Video Episodes

This week, Beer America TV goes Belgo, as in Belgian IPA! This relatively new style of beer seems to be growing in popularity and Flying Dog has a good one in the form of a Raging Bitch! Pulled from their Canis Major series of beers, which are normally reserved for one-offs and special editions, Raging Bitch was put into year round production due to its popularity. Lots of great information in this episode about the style!!

Most of the time here on Beer America TV we discuss beers full of malt, tons of hops or a combination of both, this week, we discuss a beer thats basic, but still full of flavor. Full Sail LTD 04 is a beer brewed with only a single malt and a single hop, and it's perfectly balanced! Its golden deliousness weighs in at a 7% ABV and is very sessionalble - check it out!

While in Vietnam, Beer America TV had the perfect opportunity to pay tribute to Gordon Knight. For those of you who don't know, Oskar Blues brews a brilliant beer called G'Knight. This beer was inspired buy their good friend and fellow brewer Gordon Knight, who was also a Vietnam Veteran and helicopter pilot. Unfortunately, Gordon was killed fighting fires in Colorado, so I thought it would be cool to bring his beer to Vietnam as a tribute.

It's the beginning of 2012, so we here at Beer America TV decided to talk about an excellent Porter to help warm you in the crisp air. Deschutes Black Butte Porter is their flagship brand with an extrememly sessionable ABV of 5.2%. Malty goodness with a slight hop bitterness makes this multi-award winning beer a must try! While only available in the western half of the United States, Deschutes is going through what many American Craft Brewers are going through - rapid growth. John has really great insight into this in this episode as well, so be sure to watch all the way through!

OK, so we shot a handful of green screen episodes, we have to edit them! This week on Beer America TV we tackle another IPA, this time from Avery Brewing. Avery IPA is an excellent IPA with a nice malt balance. If you're looking for an IPA that's not to bitter and a session able ABV,then give this one a try!

Here is a new beer blog that is old (never released it) that we just discovered from Alaskan Brewing Company. Beer America TV was so very fortunate to get a care package full of great Alaskan beers a few years back and this one is another winner! Alaskan Amber is smooth malty goodness with a nice hop note - in two words, well balanced! We are big fans of Alaskan and highly recommend that if you can get, you need to try it!
