Weekly live webcast/podcast devoted to discussion of news and politics from the perspective of Ayn Rand's philosophy, Objectivism. Hosted by Amy Peikoff. Obama's as destructive as ever, even "apologizing" for destroying Americans' health insurance plans while showing absolutely no remorse. Is there a hope for some better politicians to get elected and undo some (or all) of this damage? Are the results of this week's elections any indication? Should we even support any of today's politicians, anyway, or should we hold out for John Galt? See program notes at www.dontletitgo.com for all the stories, etc., I plan to discuss during today's show.

Don't Let It Go Unheard: GOP's War on Tea is a War on Me | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:01:00

Weekly live webcast/podcast devoted to discussion of news and politics from the perspective of Ayn Rand's philosophy, Objectivism. Hosted by Amy Peikoff.   A warning to the GOP Your war on Tea is a war on me.   As you know, the GOP leadership has made its deal with the devil this week. We'll start this week's show with some advice for preparing yourself, mentally and physically, for the work we have to do. Then, we'll discuss the deal, who's responsible for it, and what we can do to help Senators Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, among other decent politicians (there aren't many). We need to turn up the pressure on the GOP leadership and their cronies, and then make sure Cruz & Lee get some serious backup in 2014. I'll also explain why, even though I am not a member of the Tea Party, I see a war on Tea as a war on me.   Program notes will be available, as usual, shortly before showtime at www.dontletitgo.com.

Don't Let It Go Unheard: Who's In Charge? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:00:00

Weekly live webcast/podcast devoted to discussion of news and politics from the perspective of Ayn Rand's philosophy, Objectivism. Hosted by Amy Peikoff. A recent Fox News poll says that only 8% of Americans believe that "the people are in charge of the government." And, while the Constitution says the House has the power of the purse, Obama seems to think they should provide unlimited funding for him to create his egalitarian utopia. One NYT columnist is even urging Obama to ignore the rule of law and unilaterally raise the debt ceiling if the House Republicans demand concessions from him. I don't know about you, but I find this attitude unacceptable. Join in on the discussion today, either by phone or in the chat room. Or, if you're listening to a podcast recording, chime in on my blog at www.dontletitgo.com. Today we'll also discuss the Common Core, a program that entails the Federal Government taking more control over the education of our children. And more. Check my blog at www.dontletitgo.com for Program Notes, to be posted about an hour before the show goes live.

Don't Let It Go Unheard: Is Ted Cruz The Guy? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:00:00

Weekly live webcast/podcast devoted to discussion of news and politics from the perspective of Ayn Rand's philosophy, Objectivism. Hosted by Amy Peikoff.   Showcasing their tremendous powers of evasion, the Senate has voted 79-19 for cloture on the continuing resolution (CR). As I type this, the Senate is voting to remove the language in the House CR that defunded Obamacare. So today's show will unfortunately not be a victory celebration, although ultimate victory is still possible, depending on what the House does in the coming days (and, possibly, weeks).   What I would like to do today is celebrate the fact that we have a politician in the U.S. Senate who is willing to stand up against socialized medicine, in a principled way. And the bonus: he read several passages from Ayn Rand's work in the process of doing so.
