Here is a new site for bloggers that is troll free. Many bloggers left OPF and after Sinkin thinkin shut down ( although I hear its up again to post comments) we didnt have a place to go and communicate safely.    Created by UK Blogger, mfc66, it is filling a void many of us all felt we needed.  Ex Steppers, Ex Al ANON members and ex 12 step person of anykind are finding a safe haven here to discuss the many problems in and around the 12 step culture and how it has invaded our goverment, entertainment and healthcare.  How could this be...a 1935 religion? Keeper Of The Birds, A long time AA member tells her horrific story of her son Thomas's death in January 2001.  A pedohpile ring in our southern states were targeting AA meetings and AA rehabs for young teenage boys. After 4 years the Federal Marshall's arressted her sons killer, molestor and rapist who included some 23 other sex offenders who were targeted these small AA meetings in rural towns and cities. This is my first uploaded podcast. It will not be live. I will have a live show next week on Wednesday, but I will begin to have only two live shows a month as I focus on the finishing of my Documentary Film.  This I hope will only take me 4 more months, but I need to focus. Ryan was 25. He lost his sister Sarah from Suicide last fall and I met him on the www.stinkin-thinkin.com site. The threads are still there.  Ryan and I became friends. I connected as a mom and as a freind. He told me about how angry he was after spending 2 years at an all 12 step treatment center that didnt help him at all with his mental and emotional issues.  Lots of phone converstions and emails and reading Ryan's posts as well as what he wrote on his own blog steppin on suicide. How many more people does AA/NA kill with suicide. I know many more. But No young person should ever step a foot in 12 step as I see it now. How come these shows send everyone to AA and rehab but we hardly see them drunk or really high? Is it really possible that Big Time Hollywood writers and Producers have no idea that Smart Recovery, Secular Organizations for Sobriety or LifeRIng Exist? God, I hope not. What if their child gets in trouble with Booze, pot, pills or even herion. Will they really send their teen away? What's gone wrong with our world. Back in the DAY ...., the awesome 70's No ONE WENT TO REHAB GUYS. AND THEY STOPPED USING AND DRINKING....opps I was yelling there. Sorry.
