Who  regulates them? These and many more questions we will be asking. . The therapy has been described in his book, Harm Reduction Psychotherapy: A New Treatment for Drug and Alcohol Problems, and a series of papers. The book has been translated into Polish and Spanish. Andrew holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from the City University of New York. He is Founder and Director of the Center for Optimal Living in NYC, a treatment and training center that is based in Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy; founding member and Past-President, Division on Addiction of New York State Psychological Association, Member of the Board of Moderation Management Network, Inc., and clinical advisor to the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. He is Professor of Professional Practice, the Harm Reduction Psychotherapy Certificate Program, the New School for Social Research and a consultant in the Advanced Specialization in Family and Couple’s Therapy at the Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis at New York University.  Dr. Tatarsky trains nationally and internationally.    

Did you know that Nurses, Doctors, Pilots are all being forced to attend AA in a way that breaks their beloved traditions. Has anyone bother to explain to the FAA, or the commercail airlines this is in strict violation to the lay person in AA. BON (Board of Nursing) is also a bitch on wheels. The ASAM is not really anthing offical, except what they do to good doctors. Many kill themselves, rather then go to another AA meeting. BUT know one thing, There are 6 free other options and even a good book and a good non 12 step addiction therapist may be what one needs. SMART Recovery, SOS, HAMS Harm Reduction, MM, Moderation Management, LIFERING, WFS, The Sinclair Method, and finding a good non12 step therapist along with a good book like Recover!

Have you ever been ripped off by an AA member?  Was it alot of money? Was it for hundreds, thousands or millions.  When you asked for your money back  were told to         " go write about it" . "pray about it"  One oldtimer in a men's stagg in Hollywood, has been doing this and getting away with it for years. We suggest you go to the police and prosecute them.  SO why don't you? Today is a short episode to discuss why so many poeple think and say " AA is spiritual, not religious". From 50 somethings at a party, to parole officers, to girl on the street on the promenode. In the making of my film The 13th Step I dug deep to uncover why I too said this too many times. I found out that this is not true and a very important part of the whole bad picture. AA is being used in our courts, against our 1st amendment rights, its being forced on Pilots and Doctors and Nurses. Even men and women who have served their time are being told they MUST go to a 12 step based rehabilitation when they leave prison. Yes...this is true....WHo is making all the money here. ... If over drinking is a behavior and or a sign of mental illnesses why would we use prayer to fix or heal these issues. And if it were a disease, which I dont beleive it is, why again would I "pray about it" and not go see a PhD or A Dr? Join me today for a 30 minute show.
