Project Censored

Today we will interview film producer Kristina Leigh Copeland and lawyer Wes Christian about the SF Bay Premere of their new film the Wall Street Conspiracy. Then we will hear from Richard Becker author of the publication the Rule of the Banks.  During the second half of the show we will interview Jocelyn Boreta—Program Director of Global Exchange Fair Trade Stores and speaker at this weekend Green Festival. We round out the show with Brian DeShazor, Director, Pacifica Radio Archives.

Our first interview is with Yastel Yamada, President, Skilled Veterans Corps of Fukushima; and Cecile Pineda, author of the the new book Devil’s Tango. During the second half of the show we will interview Dan Sythe CEO, International Medcom, currently working with Japan to monitor the spreading fukushima radiation; and Brian Covert author of chapter 14 in Censored  2013 “On the Road to Fukushima—the Unreported Story."

At the bottom of the hour, Project Censored student intern Kimberly Soeiro talks about the most recent stories being researched regareding Cuba as part Project Censored’s Validated Independent News. For the second half of the show we will continue with our discussion on Cuba and finish up with a quick report from Michael Leviten with Occupy.org on the first anniversary events for the Occupy Movement next week

A Bohemian Grove special. Peter Phillips, Mickey Huff and Andy Roth cover the history of the San Francisco Bohemian Club. We will interview Chieko Shiina an activist and organic farmer and Fukushima Nuclear Disaster Survivor visiting California sponsored by the No Nukes Action Committee. Chieko Shiina will be speaking at the Occupy Bohemian Grove protest July 14 regarding the Club's long association with Nuclear energy.  Also, we will be in conservation with Don Eichelberger on the history of the Bohemian Grove Action Network and his work with Abalone Alliance. Steve Zeltzer will present work-week radio and we will end the show with interviews of Occupy activists and their plans for the Bohemian Grove protest this Saturday in Monte Rio near the Bohemian Grove in Sonoma County.  We round out the show talking to filmmakers Doug Hecker and Chris Oscar of Hole in the Media Productions

Also Joining us in studio is Harrison Misioka Seuga former 21 year state prisoner released in 2010 and now finishing a college degree at SF State University. Then we interview Linda Evans with All of Us or None and Organizer at Legal Services for Prisoners with Children. She is a former political prisoner whose sentence was commuted by President Clinton on January 20, 2001.

Today we have a conversation with Richard Becker, the Western Region Coordinator of the ANSWER Coalition, (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) We will address the question—Who are the  Global One-Percent Ruling Class and how do they maintain power in the world?
