 A Siri-ously Epic Mother's Day Show | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3600

She’s been asked millions, if not billions, of questions yet most people might not be able to pick her out of a crowd. How is that possible? Susan Bennett is the voice that launch a million iPhones — she is the original real-life voice behind Apple’s Siri. She’ll talk about all of that and more — and hopefully Then, almost everyone has a favorite dish that makes them think of their mother. The Kitchen Witch, Lyndsay Wells, is back with some Mother’s Day inspired recipes. From the perfect scrambled eggs for a Mother’s Day brunch to ideas that require no cooking skills whatsoever. Plus, will she be the person to finally convince host Dan J Kroll to eat his vegetables?  The Ultimate Soap Song Playlist | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3600

Some of popular music’s biggest hits became hits because of their association with soap operas. Don’t believe us? Well, we have seven hits — spanning jazz, pop, country, and R&B — that prove otherwise. Join us for a special “countdown” of some of soap opera’s greatest hits. You need not be a fan of soap operas to know these seven hits. In fact, you may be surprised to know that some of these songs were so closely associated with daytime television. One hit was one of the biggest hits of a decade, one was a smash hit that sold more than a million copies, and another came from the mother of one of pop music’s hottest artists. Two of the songs featured also doubled as theme songs for soaps. Another was sampled for a hypnotizing hip hop anthem. Need more hints? Well, you’ll just have to tune in… or rather listen to a special soap song hit list with selections from soap experts Richard Simms of Soaps In Depth and Kroll Call host and soapcentral.com founder Dan J Kroll.

Daytime Emmys Predictions Special | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3600

It’s an honor just to be nominated, but most people still want to win. This year, 32 performers are nominated in the acting categories. And, barring any ties, only seven will win. But what exactly are Emmy voters looking for when they cast their votes? Do voters consider just the submitted episode (as they’re instructed to do), or do they consider other factors, such as previous material and personal matters? This year, Soaps In Depth‘s executive editor Richard Simms and soapcentral.com‘s Dan J Kroll take a look at who might win an Emmy statuette from two different viewpoints. Dan weighs his picks on the Emmy reels submitted by each performer. Richard, on the other hand, will consider each nominee’s body of work in the 2014 eligibility period. Whose names do you think will be read on Emmy Night? Watch all of the reels for this year’s acting categories on soapcentral.com, and don’t forget to tune in the Emmy broadcast Sunday, April 26, at 8pm Eastern/5pm Pacific on the POP network.

TV Talk: Empire. Revenge, the Daytime Emmys, and more from around the dial | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3600

After last week's two-hour, surprise filled celebration, this week's Kroll Call gets back to business. This week television talk with TV expert Richard Simms joins host Dan J Kroll for an hour of TV talk. FOX's Empire is the biggest breakout hits in more than a decade. But at least one published report says that the show needs to make some significant changes when it returns for a second season. Does Empire need to fiddle with its format or should they not try to fix what isn't broken? ABC's Revenge started off strong and buzzworthy, but along the way it’s sometimes lost its stride. Now, as the current season winds down some are saying the show is the best it’s even been -- but is it too little too late? The Daytime Emmy nominations were announced this week and this year's ceremony promises a spectacle that hasn't been seen in some time. We'll break it down and look at the post-show premiere of POP's new reality series, Queens of Drama.
