But what exactly are Emmy voters looking for when they cast their votes? Do voters consider just the submitted episode (as they’re instructed to do), or do they consider other factors, such as previous material and personal matters? This year, Soaps In Depth‘s executive editor Richard Simms and soapcentral.com‘s Dan J Kroll take a look at who might win an Emmy statuette from two different viewpoints. Dan weighs his picks on the Emmy reels submitted by each performer. Richard, on the other hand, will consider each nominee’s body of work in the 2014 eligibility period.
