Due to the fact that Ahab is rather under the weather, tonight will be a special "greatest hits" Gun Nuts episode, where we'll be replaying one of our best shows, the original "Chicks and Guns" show that first got Breda on the air.

In addition to the usual commentary, I'll be providing live coverage of the election results as they come in; as well as discussing the ramifications of a loss or a win in terms of our right to keep and bear arms.

On tonight's show, the top half of the hour will be a recap of the previous weekend's IDPA Indiana State Championship match, followed in the bottom half with an primer for new shooters on IDPA, as well as interviews with IDPA shooters on their favorite elements of the game.

Starting with tonight's show, Gun Nuts Radio will be moving to a 2-topic format for upcoming shows when time permits. On tonight's show, we'll be discussing the topic of pro-gun activism, and then in the bottom half of the hour moving on to talk about what your favorite gun is, and why. For the bottom half of the show we'll be talking to live callers who can opine on their favorite personal arms.

Since Ahab will be a travelin' man this Tuesday, Breda will be spreading her wings and flying solo on the show this Tuesday evening. If you've always hoped for a Gun Nuts show without having to listen to Ahab - now is your night!

The focus for this show will be on competitive shooting sports, including IDPA, IPSC, Silhouette, airgun, you name it. We'll also begin our election series coverage, featuring interviews with NRA-EVCs and advise on what you can do in this last month before the election.

The topic of today's show is frangible ammunition - featuring interviews with Dan Smith of International Cartridge Corporation and Harold Beal of DRT Ammo. Both of these companies produce frangible, non-toxic ammo for rifles and pistols, and this show should be an excellent resource for people looking for a safer option for ammo.

Talking about the vicious campaign currently being run by the Democrat challenger for office; and how his tactics fit quite nicely in with his origins from the Chicago political machine.

On our first show in the new time slot, we'll be talking about the recent advertisement released by the Obama campaign, featuring Ray Shoenke of the American Hunters and Shooters Association. We'll play the ad on the air and offer commentary on the ad from a variety of bloggers and 2nd Amendment activists.

Tonight's show will be Bonnie's last show with Gun Nuts Radio for a little while, as her real life commitments are sadly taking her away from the show. She will be sorely missed around here, as to be quite frank, she was the only thing that kept Caleb's rampant gunmadness in check. In honor of her last show, we'll be talking about her experiences with shooting, defensive firearms, etc. Don't miss this Very Special episode of Gun Nuts Radio.

My good friend and fellow blogger Breda attended an Appleseed Rifle Shoot this past weekend while I was playing "High-speed IPSC guy" with Todd Jarrett. She'll join us live to talk about her experience at the shoot.

Wrapping up coverage of the ParaUSA Blogger Summer Camp, including audio from the actual shoot itself, as well as live interviews with fellow bloggers who attended the shoot. If you miss this one, you're going to miss out BIG TIME.
