Audio: Interview With Peter Harback From CoolThings.com.au | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 45:05

This is a big one! I cracked the 45 minute mark with this podcast. There is a reason though, there's a lot in this show with the main feature being an interview with Peter Harback, the co-owner with his wife of Cool Things, a website and retail store that sells "Cool Gadgets for Big Kids" (a toyshop!). Peter offers quite a good insight into his business so I expect you will enjoy this interview. Also featured in the podcast is some music by a friend of mine, James McIntosh, who recently launched his own blog at Jameses.org. He provides the vocals and guitar on his track Perspicacity. Enjoy!

Audio: Website Marketing Using Compound Effects | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 16:53

This is a new podcast focusing on website marketing compound effects. It's been a while since I did a solo podcast and for a lot of readers this might be your first taste of my show since Entrepreneur's Journey has grown somewhat in the last month or so, and has some newbie subscribers. If you are interested you can find a nice neat list of my previous solo podcasts at the bottom of the articles page. My podcasts are usually short-ish, about 15-20 minutes of me talking and the topic is always Internet business. Today's show is no different, covering a very important concept for those marketing online with a tight budget. Compound effects are effective means to establish consistent long term traffic to a website and help with the search engine optimization process as well. I hope you enjoy the show!

Audio: Introduction to Google AdWords | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:39

This is a podcast audio by Jonathan Mizel interviewing Perry Marshall. It reviews a lot of the basics of using Google AdWords. If you are familiar with AdWords you might find this audio a little redundant but for the newbies interested in learning how to use the system I recommend a download. Additionally they cover a few interesting topics like: The top three ways to build a mailing list, generate leads and make direct sales What sells on Google and what does not, based on dozens of scientific tests Case study of a campaign that could NOT be made to work, and why If you want a short introduction to AdWords in an email course format I suggest you try Perry's free e-course.

 Audio: Taking Payments Online – Part 2 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 23:16

Yesterday I posted the first part of this two-part podcast series about taking payments online. In this the second part I look more in depth at taking credit card payments online and complete my discussion of Paypal.com. In particular I note my experiences with credit card fraud which you can find recounted in my business timeline part 2 and how that affected my decision process when looking for a credit card payment system for my business BetterEdit.com. In this podcast I discuss these payment options: Paypal.com 2Checkout.com Paymate.com.au Merchant facilities provided by a bank

 Audio: Taking Payments Online – Part 1 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 19:53

I was meaning to have this podcast out to you last week but I had trouble recording it. I thought I would be clever and head outside for some fresh air and go for a walk to my local park and record a podcast there. Well I tried but I just couldn't get through to complete my first outdoor podcast so I postponed it and finally managed to sit down today and make the recording. As I discovered last week while trying to park-cast this topic is a long one so I decided to split it up into two different podcasts on the same topic. The second part will come out tomorrow and concludes the piece discussing online payment processor options. In the first part I discuss these payment options: Bank Deposits Cheques/Checks Money Orders Cash in the Mail Western Union and the start of a discussion of Paypal.com

 Audio: Choosing a Business | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 17:54

I have a rather long podcast today which is generally about choosing an Internet business but I talk a lot around the concept as well. Selecting what project to work towards on the Internet is not a task you should take to lightly but as I mention in the audio it's not something you should analyse for too long either. It's so easy to test on the Internet that often the best form of market research is to create a working business and see what happens. I made one mistake mentioning Ryan Glasgow's blog, it is actually at http://www.ryanjglasgow.com - I missed the "j" in the middle when I mentioned it in the podcast.
