For a lot of us, the Holy Spirit is a mystery. Some of us have been afraid because of past experiences, some have never taken the time to learn about him, and others feel like we already know everything we need to about the Holy Spirit. Over the next few weeks, we’ll dig into the scriptures to challenge some of the ideas we’ve had about the Holy Spirit, and learn how to love, communicate, listen to, and rely on this God we never knew. 

For this First Wednesday we are joined by John Bevere founder of Messenger International, an organization whose primary focus is to spread the message of the gospel to people all over the world. In this message, John gives us an introduction to the Holy Spirit. Who he is, what he does, and how he can dramatically change your relationship with God.

The time to prepare for the storms of life is long before the storms ever arrive. That’s why it is so important to take time every day to spend with God and learn His word. In this message Pastor Willie George talks about the importance of your daily “chair time,” and how you can prepare for storms by speaking God’s Word.

In life, storms can come that we simply are not prepared for. These storms come to everyone, and just because you have a storm doesn’t make you a failure—but there is a way to be prepared. God set a precedent when he created the world by taking one day to rest. Selfishness is the natural condition of the human race, and no one is immune to it. From the very beginning, we see that man has always had a “me first” attitude, and considered self above everyone else. It is only when you come into a relationship with Christ, that you old selfish nature is transformed and you are given a new nature that wants to show love. In the closing week of We Can’t Stay Here, Pastor Willie George talks about the importance of We Church Not Me Church, and how we have a responsibility to love one another just as Christ has loved us.
