My first guest  Saturday, Jann Holden is a 38 year Stage 4 Cervical Cancer Survivor who through a strong determination, REIKI. and diet change overcome cancer without chemo, surgery or radiation. She is an  Ordained Minister, REIKI Master, EFT Coach,  Tuning Fork & Sound Therapist with over 35 years experience in my field.  I offer doTerra essential oil products as well as Nikken Magnetic products. I also offer advise on dietary changes, and supplements you may be lacking.  Hair analysis and saliva testing are also available thru my office, as well as ph testing and iodine deficiency tests. She is very passionate about energy healing, REIKI in particular.  Much against my families wishes, I did not use the conventional methods of chemotherapy, radiation or surgery for my cancer.  Instead I took a class in REIKI and learned to work on myself.  Later I went on to become a REIKI Master. My work is now aimed at making a difference in other people’s lives as well, whether physically, emotionally or spiritually. REIKI is a hands on modality that balances the energy of the body, allowing the healing process to take place.  My specialty is distant REIKI where I work off a picture or even just a name.  REIKI can be used on animals, and literally anything with “energy”. I have actually fixed machines! One thing people must realize is that I am a facilitator to the healing process, not a healer. REIKI is not a religion and you do not have to believe in it.  The actual healing work is done by the person requesting the healing thru their intent and often dietary and lifestyle changes. Although REIKI cannot always physically heal everyone, it does make a difference on other levels, meaning mentally, emotionally or spiritually.  It is especially helpful to the terminally ill, making their transitioning easier, more comfortable and acceptable to them. I offer many other modalities as well, including EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques or tapping), Sound/Vibrational Therapies including OHM and color tuning forks, drumming, singing bowls, and I use crystals, orgonite and pendulums in my work.  I also offer Ear Candling, and Magnetic Therapy and roll-outs. I often combine some of these techniques.  Please see descriptions on each of these modalities.  My special is a combo tuning fork/REIKI session with special deep relaxation music and colored lights.  I call this “THE WORKS”. For nearly 40 years, Frank Wiewel and his wife Denise have led the struggle for medical freedom in America and throughout the world. Frank was a successful Columbia Records recording artist, engineer and producer. In July 1985, he happened to be in Freeport, Bahamas, accompanying his sick father-in-law, when the Bahamian government, at the instigation of the United States National Cancer Institute (NCI) shut down Dr Lawrence Burton’s (IAT) cancer clinic. The IAT patients organized and asked Frank to become first president of their association. Frank and Denise led them in a march on Washington and drafted the petition for an evaluation of innovative therapies, signed by 43 Congressmen. Frank was the original requestor of this Office of Technology Assessment (OTA) study entitled, Alternative Cancer Therapies and testified at the Congressional Hearings. Frank led site visits to clinics being researched by OTA and the IAT Clinic was reopened. In 1986, Frank and his wife Denise founded People Against Cancer and organized The International Coalition for the Evaluation of Alternative Cancer Therapies. It was largely through such efforts, including bitter struggles over three years that the OTA report was re-written and made into a useful document for Congress and the public. In conversations with thousands of people with cancer, health activists, as well as over 50 members of Congress; guest appearances on Design for Living, Natural Living, For the People, and other radio programs; prominently featured interviews in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Des Moines Register, Scientific American, Science, East West, etc; and publications in the Journal of the American Medical Association and the International Association of Cancer Victors and Friends (IACVF) Journal, Frank has tirelessly fought for the fair testing of innovative, non toxic cancer therapies. In 1993, Frank was a founding member of the Office of Alternative Medicine (OAM) in the National Institutes of Health (NIH). In 1994, Frank was chosen to be the Chairman of the Pharmacological and Biological Treatments Committee and chosen to serve a four-year term on the National Advisory Board of the Office of Alternative Medicine. Scientific American wrote, “The Establishment of the Office of Alternative Medicine (OAM) constitutes a victory for Frank Wiewel.” Through People Against Cancer, Frank has created and administrates the Alternative Therapy Research Program (ATRP), a program to evaluate treatment options for people with cancer and physicians. Frank has also created and organized the International Physicians Network (IPN) to provide innovative treatment options for people with cancer. In 1996, Frank launched the Alternative Therapy Evaluation Program (ATEP) to conduct scientific evaluations, both retrospective and prospective, of innovative treatments for cancer worldwide. Sandra Goodman PhD, Co-founder and Editor of Positive Health PH Online, trained as a Molecular Biology scientist in Agricultural Biotechnology in Canada and the USA. Sandra was born and grew up in Montreal, Canada, a highly cosmopolitan city in Quebec, subject to the political tensions of the Canadian French and English divide. In addition to focusing upon her academic studies in the arts and sciences, Sandra was also a talented pianist and athlete, particularly in gymnastics. Having qualified as a Red Cross swimming instructor and Royal Lifesaving Society lifeguard, she greatly enjoyed teaching young adults and children to swim and overcome their fear of the water. Sandra graduated with her PhD in Molecular Biology from McGill University with her Thesis: Expression of host genes in soybean root nodules, research attempting to identify nitrogen fixation genes in a legume, with an ultimate goal of being able to transfer such genes to non-legumes and reduce the requirement for fertilizer. Dr Goodman worked for a Multi-National Corporation in the USA as a Biotechnology Scientist until the mid-1980s, eventually traveling and settling in the UK focusing upon health issues. Author of 4 books regarding the role of Nutrition in empowering optimum health, including Nutrition and Cancer: State-of-the-Art, Vitamin C – The Master Nutrient, Germanium: The Health and Life Enhancer and numerous articles, Dr Goodman was the lead author of the Consensus Document: Nutritional and LifeStyle Guidelines for People with Cancer and compiled the Cancer and Nutrition Database for the Bristol Cancer Help Centre in 1993. The catastrophic but flawed research paper in The Lancet in the early 1990s alleging that women with breast cancer attending the Bristol Cancer Help Centre (BCHC) were more likely to die than those undergoing conventional treatment almost led to the closure of BCHC. Having authored a scholarly article Nutritional and Lifestyle Guidelines for People with Cancer, Dr Goodman was then commissioned in the early 1990s to set up a Cancer and Nutrition database which would identify the published research papers in this field. During the compilation of this database, drawn from some 5000 peer-reviewed research papers, it was suggested by Sandra’s long-term partner Mike Howell that there was a lack of communication of this type of research both to health professionals and the serious general reader of health information. Thus was born Positive Health magazine PH Online, which has now published over 237 issues (the print magazine ceased after Issue 150); the entire archive is exclusively online at www.positivehealth.com Dr Goodman has worked for the past 22+ years as a co-founder and Editor of Positive Health PH Online in attempting to show that there is no divide between different types of healthcare, just different approaches, i.e. Integrated Medicine. Chris Conrad (born March 10, 1953) is an American author, activist, curator, publisher and court-recognized expert in cannabis cultivation and use. He has played a key role in the shaping of the modern industrial and medical cannabis reform movements as the author of such seminal books as Hemp: Lifeline to the Future (1993) and Hemp for Health (1997), as well as through his activist work as the co-founder and first President of the Hemp Industries Association (HIA), founder of the Business Alliance in Commerce and Hemp (BACH), and the signature gathering coordinator for the Proposition 215 volunteer effort which made California the first US state to legalize the medical use of cannabis.[1] The December, 1999 issue of High Times ranked Conrad #10 on its list of top 25 “living legends in the battle for legal cannabi Conrad’s writing career began when he designed and edited a revised edition of the hemp prohibition classic The Emperor Wears No Clothes by Jack Herer in 1990. Dr. David Seaman was the first person to author a scientific paper that specifically hypothesized that diets can be pro-inflammatory or anti-inflammatory. Since that paper was published in 2002, thousands of papers and numerous books have been published on the topic of diet and inflammation, which is now accepted as mainstream. Dr. Seaman is a Professor of Clinical Sciences in the Chiropractic Medicine program at National University of Health Sciences in Pinellas Park, Fl. He has a BS from Rutgers University in 1982; a Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in 1986; and a MS in Bio/nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in 1991 While in clinical practice in the late 1980’s, he became aware of the developing research that linked nutrition to the inflammatory process and noticed that appropriate dietary changes could significantly improve various musculoskeletal and visceral conditions. Based on this experience, he began to focus on nutritional approaches for inflammation/pain control and has followed the related scientific literature ever since. This led to the publication of the first book on nutrition for pain and inflammation, which was followed by many articles and book chapters devoted to this topic. His educational efforts resulted in being awarded the 2006 Academician of the Year by the American Chiropractic Association. Patti McNulty began her education with four years of intensive training in a combined mental health/addictions and family counseling program. Subsequently, she spent twelve years providing both inpatient and outpatient addiction services to a range of psychiatric hospitals. She was then the primary Employee Assistance Program counselor for JFK and LaGuardia Airports in New York, where employees could receive counseling and addictions treatment on-site. In 1996, she was awarded a New York State citation for her work with the survivors and employees involved in the Flight 800 plane crash that same year. Her work experience pulled her in the direction of not only further addictions treatment work, but also in trauma work in addicted populations. In 2005, she became a holistic studies practitioner, completed two graduate programs at the School of Vanati in Pittsburgh, and is presently involved in the extension graduate program. Patti started working at Serenity Acres Treatment Center in January of 2013, as a licensed Certified Associate Counselor for Alcohol and Drugs (CAC-AD), and provides addictions counseling, family education, and holistic therapy services to her clients. She also runs her own business, Healing Branches, in Severna Park, Md. At Healing Branches, Patti practices Cellular Expansion and Healing Energy Medicine—a form of hands on bodywork that heals through the cells for optimal health and wellness. Alex Kerten says his life has been framed by the shadows of two cataclysmic events: the Holocaust and the subsequent creation in 1948 of the State of Israel. His parents arrived in what was then called Palestine at the tail end of World War II, having survived the Holocaust taking place in Europe. They met in a refugee camp, one of many that had been set up for the streams of immigrants pouring in after the war, and it was there that he was born in 1945. The camps were filled with fractured souls who had suffered the horrors of Nazi atrocities and been left plagued by trauma from the past. For many of the children of these survivors like him, that trauma was passed on and became part of their own psychological makeup. As a teenager, he discovered music as an outlet to lighten the heaviness that he felt as a child and the recurring dreams and nightmares he kept having about the Holocaust. Included in those files were hundreds of handwritten letters from Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Dr. Albert Schweitzer, to Dr. Max Gerson. Schweitzer and Gerson were best friends after Gerson cured Schweitzer’s wife, Helena, of terminal tuberculosis when she had just 3 months to live. Gerson also cured Schweitzer, himself, of severely advanced diabetes, in SIX weeks, eight years before Schweitzer won the Nobel Prize.
