UNC basketball's media day was on Tuesday and Inside Carolina was on location to provide a full report on the news from the event. IC beat writer Ross Martin is joined by John Bauman to review what they observed from the 2018-19 squad, what Roy Williams had to say about his team heading into the season, and various other tidbits of information they gathered. The heated point guard competition, questions inside at the center spot, what Cameron Johnson can bring, and a general take on this year's team dominate the conversation.

Additionally, with the bye week behind them, the UNC coaching staff has turned their full attention to the matchup this Saturday against Virginia Tech and is eager to get as many high-profile recruits on campus as possible. Inside Carolina's recruiting expert Don Callahan joins host Jon seiglie to discuss how the UNC coaching staff will be handling recruiting this week, including which targets they might be seeing. Callahan and Seiglie also briefly discuss how next week's game against Virginia Tech being a 7:00pm kickoff could impact the recruiting events occurring that weekend.

Carolina picked up a very important win last Saturday by beating the Pittsburgh Panthers in Kenan Stadium. Not only was the game crucial for the success of the season, it also provided a key opportunity for Coach Larry Fedora to have several high-profile players from the 2019 recruiting class on campus for gameday. As expected, there was a lengthy list of recruits in Chapel Hill this past weekend, highlighted by two surprise visitors - Sam Howell & C.J.
