 LDQ #24 Crazy Daisy Quilts | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 46:48

Howdy! Hola! Greetings and Salutations! yeah.. I'm done. My voice held out long enough to record a quickish podcast episode. I rambled about all the usual stuff, but that's why you love me. My brother and his lovely, and sweet bride. He was singing to her. awww A shot of them before the ceremony And the cake I made..   The pictures of Easy Street, the batik HSTs, and Feelin' Froggy are in the previous blog post. The ratatouille recipe I mentioned is here Here is my row that I made and passed on to work its way through the ranks of the list. I won't see it again until December! Special thanks to Susan aka HQSuz for the wonderfully funky fabrics. I decided the "theme" for this quilt will be Funky Traditional.. as in traditional blocks, made with funky fabrics. I know there's something else I said I would put up a link to.. or a picture of.. when I think of it, I shall edit :-)   Happy Quilting!

 LDQ# 22 Tea Time | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:05:02

This is an extra long episode (either I'm sorry, or you're welcome.. whichever way you feel about that) because I've recorded some segments all week and edited it all together for a big ol' dollop o' daisy. There's the usual quilt updates, some talk about motor life, and bobbin winding, Downton Abbey praise, Easy Street whining, and a couple book suggestions. Enjoy! Scroll down to yesterday's post for a couple pics of things I mentioned in the show. Intro and Outro music played on guitar, by my very talented 15 year old son. Happy Quilting~

 LDQ #21 Amazing Grace | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 34:38

Ah, the long awaited episode 21! Don't expect too much exciting content! I talk mostly about quilting, I complain a little about Christmas, and I give a weight loss update. Here's something I forgot to talk about.. what I gave my mom for Christmas. Here's the quilt I made for our church pianist.. Mrs. Ruth. I have a better picture somewhere, but I gave up looking for it (I'm lazy)   I'm loving making these circles!   AND... the progress so far on Easy Street Detour, which I think I may call Cherry Bomb.

 LDQ #20 Mythbusting Quiltmaking | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 35:03

Here's my top 12 list of quiltmaking myths.. BUSTED!(with tips and advice interspersed) Pink Lemonade and the Saints quilt are both finished, and the Fugly Fairies just needs binding. Here's the article I mentioned in the episode. Womenfolk Article about Quilting Myths Here's a pinboard with oodles of pictures of quilted petticoats. Wikipedia's page on Petticoats Happy Quilting!

 LDQ #18 Summer Wrap-Up | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 30:57

Hey y'all!! I'm back! yay! The kids are in school and my routine is returning to normal. I'm glad to be back in the podcast saddle, and I hope to be talking to you on Mondays again. In this episode, I give a rundown of all the quilts I got done this summer. I finished most of the to do list. I have one left, the quilt for our school secretary.  And then of course the Zelda quilt for my son. I still need to start on that one. Here's the pics of the ones I hadn't posted yet... The Music quilt, and the Saints quilt.       The WWII Museum in New Orleans was amazing. We had a very educational, and (for me) emotional experience. After all the information overload, we enjoyed The Soda Shop and I had the best ice cream I have ever put in my mouth. I have never been a big ice cream lover, but this stuff, Creole Cream Cheese and Red Velvet in a fresh waffle cone,  was TO DIE FOR! I would drive back to NOLA just for another double scoop of this stuff. I will do another post about the museum, with pictures soon. (yeah, my camera is still in the glove box of the car.. SLACKER!) Here is the blog where I found the tute on the quilt I will be starting today, for our school secretary. Patchwork of Mini-Grey. My white sashing between will be much bigger than hers, because I want lots of negative space between the colours. Doesn't it look like fun to make? This episode was not highly edited so excuse my ums.. yet again, please. I am easing myself back into the podcasting routine and next time I will talk about my extreme stage fright and how my singing performance went at church.. Since I got several people asking after the last episode. Thanks for reading and listening! I love when you leave comments!   Keep Quilting!
