Summary: The Amateur Radio QSO Show is a crossroads where Radio Amateurs, tell their stories and share in their life experiences in Amateur and Shortwave Radio. The QSO Radio Show also shares in the life stories and accomplishments of engineers in the forefront of the Broadcast Engineering, Audio and communications fields. The QSO Radio Show is hosted by Ted Randall WB8PUM the recipient of the 2008 ARRL Leonard Media Award. Ted is proud to be a member of the A.R.R.L American Radio Relay League and the Society of Broadcast Engineers.

Live from the Huntsville Hamfest Saturday August 15th 2009 from the Von Braun Center in Huntsville Alabama. Segment 4.
Charlie Emerson N4OKL with the Huntsville Hamfest talks with us on QSO and gets us up to speed on the Huntsville Hamfest. Charlie tells the story of how he got involved with the Huntsville Hamfest and the history of the Hamfest. He talks about his beginnings in amateur radio and his current interests in ham radio. Charlie talks about all the up and coming activities of this year’s 2009 Huntsville Hamfest. Please note there are extra breaks and in this radio show as the interview is a little short for our show but we wanted to get Charlie on the air as soon as we could to promote the Huntsville Hamfest.
Hank Landsberg WB6MEU of Henry Engineering joins us for a QSO all about his early days and his Knight Kit 3 tube AM broadcaster. Hank takes us inside the days at Drake Chenault and talks about Bill Drake. Hank did the engineering and production of the milestone program The History of Rock and Roll voiced by the master himself Bill Drake. Field Day 2009 Live. QSO did a 12 hour live broadcast from the headquarters of TransWorld Antennas in Cookeville TN. Broadcasting field day activities and took reports from clubs as well as individuals from all over the world who were participating in Field Day 2009. We were visited by phone by Allen Pitt's W1AGP, Dan Henderson N1ND who were at W1AW. Other folks calling in were Bill Morine N2COP the ARRL public relations committee chairman and Jim Davis W2JKD from Amateur Radio Newsline and the former CKLW personality known to all as "Big Jim Edwards". We heard from Field Day chefs from all over talking about their Field Day recipes. You will find this Field Day broadcast fun and an interesting listen.
