Don't forget to stop by ArabicPod101.com for more great Arabic Language Learning Resources! -------Lesson Dialog------- ----Formal ---- الحرام من إخراج هينري بركات ، الحرام هو فيلم مصري درامي أطلق في 1965. اقتبس من رواية للكاتب يوسف ادريس و تم ترشيحه في مهرجان كان السينيمائي في ذلك العام لنيل جائزة بري العالمية. باعتباره فيلم كلاسيكي مصري ، يلقي فيلم الحرام نظرة على الأجواء الاجتماعية الخانقة و التقاليد. هذا الفيلم المؤثر و المحرك من بطولة فاتن حمامة ، زكي رستم و عبد الله غيث. تقوم فاتن حمامة بدور المرأة الريفية الفقيرة عزيزة. بسبب مرض زوجها، فان عزيزة مسؤولة عن زراعة البطاطا لإعالة الأسرة. تتعرض في الحقل للهجوم و الاغتصاب من قبل حارس و ينتهي بها الأمر في حملها. لكي تحمي أسرتها من الهلع ، تبقى عزيزة صامتة و تخفي قصة حملها. عند وضعها لمولودها، تقوم بخنقه و تموت بعد ذلك بفترة قصيرة. تصبح بموتها رمزا للعمال المقموعين في الحقول و الظروف التي كانوا يتعرضون لها. الملصق الأصلي لفيلم الحرام يظهر ظلال رجل مخيف مرسوم بالأبيض و الأسود يقف خلف امرأة جميلة ذات تعبيرات وجهية حزينة. المرأة مرسومة بالألوان و تحيط الزهور بشعرها بشكل تاج. فاتن حمامة ، التي يعتبرها النقاد و المؤلفون نجمة العصر المصرية، هي فنانة تحظى بالكثير من المعجبين و منتجة معروفة باتخاذ الأدوار المثيرة للجدل. تزوجت من الممثل المعروف عمر الشريف الذي كان زوجها الثاني. عملا معا في عدة أفلام مشهورة منها (أرض السلام، سيدة القصر ، نهر الحب، لا أنام، وأيامنا الحلوة). ----Formal English---- Al-Haraam Directed by Henry Barakat, Al Haram is a dramatic Egyptian film released in 1965. It was based on a novel by the author Yusuf Idris and was nominated at the Cannes Film Festival that year for the Prix International award. Considered an Egyptian classic, Al Haram takes a look at social miasmas and mores. Starring Faten Hamama, Zaki Rostom, and Abdallah Gheith, the film is poignant and moving. Faten Hamama plays a poor peasant woman Azizah. With an ill husband, Azizah is responsible for harvesting potatoes for the family. In the field she is attacked and raped by a guard and ends up pregnant. Protecting her family from the horror, Azizah keeps quiet and hides the pregnancy. When the baby is born, she strangles it and dies shortly after her child. In her death she becomes a symbol for the oppressed workers in the fields and the conditions they have been subjected to. The original movie poster for Al-Haram featured a shadowy menacing man sketched in black and white behind a beautiful woman wearing a grave expression. The woman is depicted in color, and flowers encircle her hair in a crown. Considered the Egyptian Star of the Century by Egyptian writers and critics; Faten Hamama is a much-admired actress and producer who is known for taking on controversial roles. She was married to well-known actor Omar Sharif who was her second husband.
