Stuff Smart People Like
Summary: A weekly podcast about the finer things in life. That is, the things enjoyed by intelligent and educated folks. Partly serious, partly satirical. We discuss all manner of topics including sports, entertainment, politics, and current events. Sometimes we have a special segment such as an interview, a trivia game, a special guest, or a skit. We also provide plenty of "smart suggestions" that we feel will be enjoyed by the intellectual crowd.

Podcasts:
Jim, Ben and Jim talk table top. From classics like Monopoly to strange new-fangled games like Betrayal at House on the Hill. Join the fellows ans they dive into the proper set-up and which games make their cut for game night. Plus, Smart Suggestions!
Dean, Ed, Ben, and Jim talk about summer festivals, baby jumping, and Mormonism in the latest episode of the Stuff Smart People Like podcast. Ben shares his adoration of territorial battle games, Ed travels to New York to experience something unique, and Dean tastes craft beer in Michigan’s tulip capital.
Dean has Jury duty and for some unknown reason brings Jim along as “legal consult.” The host duties fall to Ed and the cast quickly falls into Chaos. Jean shorts, Dog Flatulence, Fake Mobsters, Cocaine Humidifiers, and (of course) Smart Suggestions all find their way into the discussion. Don’t miss a special guest appearance by the one and only Jordan.
Ben, Jim & Dean explore college. Pros? Cons? Ex-cons? Semi-pros? They’ve got ‘em all. Plus… wait for it… Smart Suggestions. This episode is priceless, so we’ll let you have it for free.
This episode finds Ben and Jim coming to Dean with questions about just what makes good acting and what does it take to be a good actor. Then we wash that down with smart suggestions.
Ben, Ed, Dean, and Jim talk about their methods for getting things done. What keeps you from spending every evening watching The Voice? What’s stopping you from watching The Voice right now? Seriously, isn’t that show just the greatest? We love Dan Brown, too.
Jordan reappears, Ben snickers from time to time, Dean whines about hosting and Ed MOOCs the whole thing up! Also, Smart Suggestions. If you’ve got us on an automatic feed to your pod-catcher, this episode is a must download.
Ben and Jim recap the con! Dean babels in a hostly fashion! Ed and Jordan are nowhere to be found! All this and little else (save Smart Suggestions) on this week’s episode.
Things are a little quiet on the good ship Smartanic. This episode was recorded last week (4/18) so some of the references won’t really hit as hard as they would have 7 days ago. BUT THAT’S OK! This is still a great episode with Dean, Ben and Jim talking about currency and a great selection of smart suggestions.
What do John Stamos, a “reverse Citizen Kane story,” prairie dogs, Golden Tate, and bad reffing/umping all have in common? They’re all topics on this week’s Stuff Smart People Like Podcast. Stay tuned at the end for a very special presentation from Dean.
Gender! Comic books! Amazon.com! “I guess you could call them zombies!” The smarties tackle all of these topics and more in this strange episode of the Stuff Smart People Like podcast.
Eyeballs in the trash, termites in Africa, offensive commercials… All this and more as Ben, Ed & Dean become your audio guides to the week’s news with bang-up Lightning Round main segment followed by Smart Suggestions.
I assure you things are all well, we’ve just had some odd scheduling issues the past couple of weeks. Yes, we’re down to two Smart People on this episode. With that in mind we dispense with some of the formality and Ben and Jim get down to talking about the end of Google Reader and how we go about gathering our information. That means the away team of Dean, Ben and Jim had to keep each other company for 45 minutes, with nothing but their wit and suggestions to sustain them. Speaking of disappointments the guys got on the subject of the very different customer support that was deployed by EA (publishers of the latest Sim City game) and Comixology when both companies faced availability issues over the past weeks.
Mistakes were made. Audio got dropped. Editing is hard. These are the main themes of this week’s episode as much of the audio was eaten by the dog. Luckily for you the panel does a brief Smart Suggestions, a tiny Last Word and an all too long, self-indulgent montage. So sit back, relax and they’ll be back next week with a regular ep!
