So you have worked hard and are now ready to be a life coach, perhaps in the field of relationships or building a healthy lifestyle.  But do you have the life coach BUSINESS down pat?  This requires that you be an entrepreneur as well as a coach.  Dr. Craig goes over how to start a small business at home, advertise and promote life coach business, attract a few clients, and grow your business slowly using word of mouth, or quicker using the Internet and social media, as well as more traditional ways like mass media, publishing and public speaking.   

Want to be a master at life coaching?  Start with yourself first.  That's right - if you want to transform people's lives you must become a life coach regarding your own tendencies to do stupid things and get in your own way!  Dr. Craig also explains you do NOT have to be perfect before you tackle the job . . . it only means you have to get your mind out of the way and be receptive to your own powerful inner changes.  If you already have a lifetime of transformative experiences under your belt this would be no problem.  If, however, you are young and just starting out, you may want to consider working on yourself for a few more years before considering becoming a life coach.  Or narrow the field down a bit, say, to relationships, business, or some other niche where you have extensive experience.

Life coach training can be found everywhere.  Do a Google search and you will come up with training programs that range from a simple E-course for $49 to one costing thousands of dollars.  The main reason for this is simple: life coaching has no specific requriements, can be done by anyone who wants to call themselves a "life coach," and life coach training itself is a wife-open field.  Dr. Craig will talk about the distinctions between, coaching, consulting and therapy, and reveal some of the features and basic requirements you should look for in a life coach training program. 

Becoming a life coach takes more than simply getting some training, printing up business cards and hanging out your shingle.  You must have enough life experiences of your own that you can relate and advise your clients effectively.  More than that, you must be able to listen to others in such a way that you touch their heart and soul.  You also must be able to DEFINE what it is you actually do in order to attract clients! Dr. Craig will discuss with listeners and callers what the life coach profession is REALLY all about . . . and why it is mainly suited for those who are dedicated to transforming - not merely changing - the lives of others.  He will also talk question the label itself, i.e., why "life coaching" is a misnomer for what is actually taking place!
