Grizzled NightWatch detective Pete Paduccio retired from NYPD in July, at which point I bothered him about doing New York City Crime Report with Pat Dixon until he actually fking did it, I was shocked. He adds his own stories of bizarre murders - decapitated pets (yes, plural), a recently-deceased husband wrapped up to be mailed out of state and more - to stories of an ex-con who slit his own throat to get out of a traffic ticket; an unhinged and violent predator arrested after punching Moranis and others; debunking the deeply unpopular "seasonal flu" restrictions; black mayonnaise, and prob'ly some other shit. Pat Dixon is a real standup comedian and fake journalist, truthfully covering real crime news in America's largest city - world's loneliest town.

 A Tale of two Heroes | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 55:50

A few years ago, Vicky Paladino told her husband to stop the car so she could get out and yell at Mayor Bill de Blasio, who was in her Queens neighborhood for a photo op. As he sucked up to her neighbors, she let him have it, and de Blasio scrambled back to his car rather than face her and address her concerns. Just a few days ago, a guy caught de Blasio off-guard and did the same, except by now the anger of the public has shifted to profane insults and derisive name-calling.  Both instances were captured and shared, and each heckler became a folk hero in their own right. Hear them now, together for the first time on any podcast, and discover some of the real reasons people in New York City HATE Bill de Blasio. guest Pete Paduccio, veteran NYPD NightWatch detective, ret.

Nun Too Grande | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:18:16

NYPD and a community of Hasidic Jews clash in Brooklyn, as de Blasio continues to impose his dreadful will on the formerly free people of New York City. Brutal Crime History Lesson 001 - Brooklyn's All-time Meanest Pimp - DaVernon LeGrande Phony preacher, pimp, rapist and serial killer DeVernon LaGrande put the fear of God into his Brooklyn neighbors even as he put a crew of hookers disguised as poor nuns out on the subways and in the streets to earn his fortune, which was estimated at $250,000 a year in 1950's dollars. He beat women to death, and had them buried on an upstate property he obtained as a burial ground. He's estimated to have killed 12+ but didn't keep a low profile, instead riding around the city in a cream-colored Caddy complete with a tv and bar inside. Ahead of his time in crime, he preyed on young victims during the 1950's and '60's until finally imprisoned, leaving behind a progeny of 46 children, many of whom followed in his criminal footsteps - notably, DaVernon LeGrande Jr., an ultra violent psychopath who met a bloody end in a Brooklyn numbers joint. Host Pat Dixon and guest, retired NYPD NightWatch detective Pete Paduccio, take a hard but lighthearted look at one of the scariest killers ever to walk the streets of the city.

Violent Brooklyn Gambling Dens with Pete Paduccio | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:02:36

a MURDER in a Violent Brooklyn Gambling Den leads to a discussion about these places, the games, the people who play them and occasionally shoot each other or fall out of windows.  My guest, ret. NYPD nightwatch det. Pete Paduccio joins me with firsthand experience and all the facts.

 The Ultimate Knife-Wiedling Psycho | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 51:24

Host Pat Dixon is joined by a man of God, the Reverend Bob Levy, the legendary NYC standup and radio personality, known by many from Howard Stern. A Queens man who was dressed non-ironically as a Spartan and armed with a Samurai sword threatened officers and basically beat his way through his own screen down in an attempt to assault NYPD officers who'd been dispatched in response to a 911 call about a man with a gun. After cops tazed the EDP and finally subdued the man, who friends and family referred to as a "Gentle Giant," the man suffered a heart attack and was pronounced at the hospital. Levy and Dixon review audio from recently released footage from bodycams worn by the officers as they attempt to deal with the situation at hand as while protecting themselves and each other, as the situation turns violent and potentially deadly in an instant.

New York, NY: The City Trainwrecks Can't Help But Watch | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:07

Thousands of New Yorkers are becoming ex-New Yorkers as vagrants and degenerates take up residence in Manhattan hotel rooms, prematurely released detainees from Riker's and other city jails stalk the streets, shootings continue to skyrocket, businesses collapse or depart for more hospitable states and the City still shows NO SIGNS of officially reopening.

Violent Hookah-smoking "Rapist" has "Mental Problems" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 38:20

6-train attempted rape The giggly, hookah-smoking passenger followed the 25-yr-old woman when she got off the 6-train and made a "masturbation motion towards her," according to NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison. She moved off in another direction to avoid him, but he knocked her down and tried to pry apart her legs while a shocked crowd gathered, with one exemplary individual taking video which did help lead cops to the suspect, 31-yr-old Jose Reyes. plus - a female judge punched in the face by guy on a Citi Bike while she walking to work  - NYPD today released a 48-page draft of its "disciplinary matrix," a standardized set of punishments for officers for offenses like "Hate Speech" (punishment: termination) and "Discourtesy" (punishment: 3 penalty days). As Pat Dixon, host of Crime Report LIVE on Compound Media, points out: "Terms like 'hate speech' and 'discourtesy' can be easily expanded and contracted literally by virtue of the race of the person speaking, and that alone. So even with this new "matrix" of rules and punishments, the city's expectations of officers are anything but standardized. "2020 brought New York the new bail reforms which guarantee more violent criminals will be on the street; the lockdown of citizens and release of thousands from jail over COVID concerns; violent and costly anti-NYPD riots this summer; the dismantling of the department's vaunted, 600-man anti-crime unit and the city council's ill-considered passage of a new set of restrictions on how police officers can handle suspects, which in some cases, would include automatic jail time for officers who are simply doing the job as they were trained (and not so long ago, mind you.). "This raft of new disciplinary guidelines for the nation's largest police force adds insult to injury, in an year that's already been far too insulting and plenty injurious for NYPD." plus - a homeless man breaks bottles over his head in a Manhattan grocery store.  New York City Goetz Worse by the Day | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 40:21

Retired NYPD homicide detective Pete Panuccio "returns" for this episode of New York City Crime Report with Pat Dixon to lend the perspective of his 40 yrs experience as a cop in the Big Apple (don't mind the maggots). A correction officer was murdered over a parking space; A reporter caught a wad of homeless spit in the eye; cities are falling apart; we revisit the startling and bloody case of Bernie Goetz and mock Los Angeles for being the kind of place where a woman randomly gets a bucket of "hot, liquid diarrhea" (her words) dumped over her head.

HOMICIDE DETECTIVE PETE PANUCCIO | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 33:04

Homeless people spitting in your food, crapping on your stoop; junkies are around; the 8th Ave corridor is the unofficial home of K2 fiends; shootings are getting out of control, and the mayor and city politicians have lost their minds. Retired NYPD homicide detective Pete Panuccio drops by the smallest room in New York City to talk NYC crime and lend the perspective of his 40 years experience on the force in the America's Largest City (World's Loneliest Town).
