GLMX #23: Who Jesus Really Is | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1427

The message of Christianity is centered in a person—Jesus Christ. You can have Confucianism without Confucius, Buddhism without Buddha, and Judaism without Abraham or Moses. But Christianity is different. Relationship with Jesus Christ is the origin, motivation, and goal of the classic Christian faith. Everything about Christianity is determined by the person and work of Jesus Christ. Its teachings are teachings about Him. He is the source of its ideas. He was the origin and will be the fulfillment of its hopes. Christianity includes belief that Jesus Christ is alive, that He is divine, and that He is still inviting us to know Him personally. Listen to this Gospel Light Minute Extended Broadcast to find out more about who Jesus Christ really is. + Plus, listen to Deitrick Haddon singing "Sinner's Prayer"

He was the baddest and most gifted athlete ever to come out of college when he left Florida State. They called him "Prime Time", and he is one of the few athletes who lived up to his nickname in the pros. He is known as one of the most versatile athletes in the history of sports. He played two pro sports at multiple positions, oftentimes at the same time. He has played for the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers, winning the Super Bowl with both teams. He has also played baseball with the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011. When he talks about how he came to Jesus Christ, he describes how that in spite of the fact he had money, women, fame, and status in the world of sports, he still felt empty on the inside and even thought about killing himself. However, after having a conversation with a fellow teammate, he went home, opened his Bible to Romans 10:9, and gave his life to Jesus Christ. He has never been the same, and the joy of the Lord beams from his face today. His name is Deion Sanders.
