SHULAMITE PODCAST

In the New Testament, many warnings are given to Christ's disciples about false prophets 'in sheep's clothing.' Because of the increase of evil in the world, the church is not keen to hate evil, much less to confront those who are in it. We are called to love the Lord and hate evil. The Holy Spirit calls us to confront those who choose darkness with His passion. "We are letting evil run unchecked."

His rule and reign was our rock and security. Jennifer experienced the Lord's sovereignty of taking her out of the world's frantic pain to a place of being intact in Christ with peace. She was filled with love for all. "None of it was beyond His reach."

Jesus specifically prayed that we would be preserved in the world but not removed from it. The Lord wants us to take our Hidden Life out into the world and affect it with just His presence. Carole always quotes the song: "I have a Light." She was in peace in the midst of that chaos and felt there was a solitude for us in the midst of it all. Julie said the Lord is always testifying about Himself.

.A day of discovery when several of us went to Atlanta to see the "Bodies Exhibit." In the chaotic crowd of loud humanity we were out of our element, away from our quiet life. Yet the Lord's presence and purpose were powerful and in the end, very evident.

Practical situations are not common at all because the Lord is in them. The Christ of scripture was content to move unknown and unseen. Jesus was so noble and regal in His movements through the earth. He didn't come to the healthy but to the sick. And now indwelling us, He shows unbelievable respect for those who are in need. The Lord comes in all His dignity to our daily practical lives and we live watching Him and learning Who He is!!

Julie discovers that Christ arranged for her to meet and comfort a man in Home Depot. She said nothing but walked with him for a few minutes. "The Son of God wanted to come down and walk with that hurting man." From that experience, she realized that she has been impacted by Body Life, especially by John's kindness and respect in the normal pathways of life. Carole sees the Blood of Christ flowing and circulating through the one Body of the Church.

Loss of self focus, He is able to quietly take over and be Himself. We are seeing the presence of Christ in our Body, through each one as He so naturally expresses His own Being. 'The self life at the core and at the end of it all is so wretched and pointless.' Carole found the expression of Church in Ephesians 2:20-22. Christ's indwelling is complete and energized! Of course He will bring worship to glorify God as God, revealing God as God!Loss of self focus, He is able to quietly take over and be Himself.

John sees a greater union with God than Eden. The Lord wants us to experience Him and know Him so intimately as to live within. Jesus' statements meant "If I leave I can come IN you and reveal Myself through you." That is the greatness of God, that my dust can reveal the greatness and grandeur of God.

John learns a huge and vital lesson about the meaning of authority and its relevance to our preparation for ruling and reigning with Christ. This 'spiritual lesson' happened, of all places, in the chicken barn. With humor and honesty, John tells the chicken story. Jennifer saw it from another angle, that to attempt a task without God given authority is to experience a debacle! And she tells her story of the bear-mauled dog.

The Shulamite group, having read the Hidden Life manuscript respond to it personally. Don sees the booklet as a s tribute to the Lord Jesus Christ. Julie received the sense of rest that Christ Himself will impart this life. Jennifer says this is the life of an utterly intimate time with God and is a calling for all, not just a few. The booklet assures that it is possible in Christ to experience this L-I-F-E!

The new booklet is a combination of the original message plus the distillation of Martha's 25 years of ever learning more about living a Hidden Life. Julie asked for practical how-to in the booklet for young believers. Jesus lived from His secret meetings with God and the impact of that was in all He accomplished.

Our new awaited booklet has been finished and will be introduced at the Reign of Grace Conference. "Hidden Life" is 4th in the Hearing God series and 16th in the booklets that are Martha's foundational message from her proven walk with Christ. The process of bringing it forth into print has been a travail of everyone at Shulamite, by prayer, experience and Body life.

Julie sees with joy that the Father has always been working in His plan for all of us so that we would know Who He is as a Father! The Lord gave Julie a song in response to a podcast comment (from D in Michigan) a year ago. That insight deeply impacted Julie. Hear this lovely song: "Face to the Son."

Shulamite Retreat considers 2011. There is no way to measure a year's accomplishment since only God knows what HE accomplished. Martha calls it "a strange empty year of fullness. This is a year He has both weakened us, struck where we are trying and shown us where we ARE weak - in one form or another." "The One Thing is to behold Him." All we have to 'do' is see Him Who is the Vast Mystery of God. All God wants is that we would see and know His Son. Don shares that He is all the provision we need. God's plan is so perfect and we are to rely solely on Him.

"The Reign of Grace" We Shulamites have been reduced as Church by chastening and crushed by blessing! This has been deep preparation for this very conference. The way to "Rule and Reign with Christ Now," is not at all what we assume and the Lord is pouring out His ways.
