The Worldwide Developers Conference presented new software from Apple for the Mac, the iPhone, and everything in between — and some of the features are a big deal. What is Apple planning on doing with them in the long run? And how is a company that's still all about hardware going to go toe-to-toe in AI, one of the hottest topics in technology the last few months? Walt and Nilay sit down and dissect what came out of WWDC this year, and what it means for products present and future. We love your feedback and suggestions on how to make our show better and more fun — you can tweet at Walt at @waltmossberg and Nilay at @reckless. And of course, we'd love it if you subscribed in iTunes (here's the direct RSS feed, if you like), along with The Verge's other great podcasts like Verge ESP, What's Tech, and The Vergecast.  #63 Validating Python tests with mutation testing | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Do you think it's a good idea to test your software? Do you write unit tests or other automated verification for code? I think most of us do these days. A key question is how do you know whether your tests sufficiently verify your code? The standard answer is code coverage. But there is a difference between executing code (which code coverage measures) and truly verifying it. On this episode, we'll talk with Austin Bingham. He created a mutation testing framework for Python that goes beyond code coverage to actually perform this verification. It's a fresh and powerful idea. I hope you enjoy it!
