During the times of ‘Rona we’ve been satisfying our craving for something frightening by watching Donut’s Scary Movie Night- a fabulous streaming and screaming web show where drag queen Donut McQueen gets high and comments on horror films. Donut recently streamed Cursed, horror film legend Wes Craven’s tribute to werewolves starring Christina Ricci, her forehead and a pantheon of mid 2000s celebrities. The film is so-so but the commentary is to die for! Today horror hostess Donut McQueen joins us to take a look at horror films, Wes Craven's porn career and how werewolves represent our repressed sexuality.

Pride may be postponed this year, but rainbows aren’t going anywhere. Besides being a symbol for celebrating sexual and gender diversity, rainbows are all about hope, and right now we sure could use it. One of the most timeless songs about rainbows is the Rainbow Connection, originally written for the Muppet Movie by Paul Williams and Kenneth Ascher, which over the years became a huge cover song. And now, Kermit the Frog is singing it again, socially distanced and unplugged from his lily pad in the Okefenokee Swamp.

With The Rona turning our world upside down, a lot of folks are seeking help or offering to help others so now’s the time to give with kindness and receive with gratitude. Today, documentary film director and reality TV producer Kerthy Fix, best known on television as the “Granola Lady” from MTV’s Teen Mom and to our long term listeners as the “9/11 Lady” joins us to talk about the challenges we face in the coronavirus pandemic and strategies to help each other survive these difficult times.

The lights on Broadway are dimmed in the early weeks of the coronavisu pandemic: the great playwright and dear family friend Terrence McNally died at the age of 81 as result of complications from COVID-19. As you can imagine, we're deeply saddened by the news.Family are people who share love. I consider Terrence family, in so many ways he was my gay uncle.Back in high school mom and Terrence dated and stayed close friends throughout their lives.Besides writing or being part of hundreds of amazing shows, plays and films, Terrence was someone who made it much much easier for me to come out as gay at the young age of 18.Terrence's plays helped so many wonderful actors launch or reinvigorate their careers including Nathan Lane, Rita Moreno and Chita Rivera.The character of Patricia in "Corpus Christi" is based on my mom Patricia, and the character of Latino performance artist extraordinaire Ramon Fornos in "Love! Valour! Compassion!" is (very loosely) based on me, Fausto Fernós. I'm eternally grateful. Love wins.
