KONKURA - Fitness Challenges Across the Globe

Laura London Podcast | Health | Fitness | Motivation | show

Summary: Konkura is a site where people from all over the world can come and compete against each other in all different sports and hundreds of different challenges. www.konkura.com is a new and exciting way to make sport and exercise more fun, varied and engaging for everyone, whether the user is a keen athlete, health fanatic …or just wants to have a laugh with friends, there are challenges for everyone! If the user can’t find a challenge that suits them, they can create one of their own in moments, then invite friends to participate and compete with each other, and discuss training tips, exchange friendly banter and mutual encouragement.  The challenge itself can be something of a serious nature such as a challenging gym workout or a running training schedule, something fun but fitness-related like The 10 Second Speed Punch Challenge or The Push Ups in One Minute Challenge or it can be off the wall, “record breakers”-style stuff like: how many t-shirts can be put on in one minute, the crème caramel eating challenge or the fastest texter challenge!  Members of a sports club, can really benefit from challenges being set by the team captain or coach, and having to regularly post efforts for all the team members to see. This acts as an excellent way to get ready for the next big game or race, pushing the user and their teammates to perform better and have a laugh doing it! Challenges can be based on the team’s weekly training schedules, enabling coaches and captains to see who is training hard…and who isn’t!  Of course, training hard is also as important as playing hard, so the user can spice things up and encourage club bonding by setting fun challenges to kick off socials with a bang, such as how many t-shirts you can put on in one minute or the crème caramel eating challenge, video the competitions. Brothers Phil and Ian Worthington from Preston, United Kingdom are the creators of Konkura and are delighted with how the site has taken off. Phil commented, “We’ve been marketing the site using social media and also spreading the word via friends and family. We’re getting plenty of sporty people visiting the site, and we would love to see more like-minded people getting involved by joining or making up their own challenges and inviting friends to get involved. You don’t have to be as competitive as Lance Armstrong or Sir Steve Redgrave to use the site – if you’ve got any competitive spirit at all, we think you’ll get a kick out of Konkura.” Ian added, “we’re aiming to build a worldwide community of people who enjoy the extra fun, motivation and friendly rivalry that comes with adding an element of friendly competition to your sport, fitness or weight-loss goals." Go visit Konkura I know you are going to love it.
