Formed in the late summer of 1997 in a small, quite part of the south east known as the Port City (Wilmington, N.C.) In that time, the Maddhatters have played over 1200 shows, with over 2000 bands all over the U.S. and Canada. The band has shared the stage with many great talented ska and punk bands such as The Toasters, The Slackers, VGS, The Casualties and many more. The Maddhatters sound has been compared to bands such as The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Voo Doo Glow Skulls and Madness. If you have never experienced a Maddhatters show then hang on. The Maddhatters are known for there high-energy live performances and stage antics. Keeping the crowd moving comes very easy for this band.
