Resistance need not be violent, but the civil disobedience that might be required involves confrontation with the state and invites possible imprisonment." -Ron Paul Today's professors and historical revisionist like to refer to nationalism and/or patriotism as being akin, if not equal to fascism. They tend to paint nationalism in an evil light. They equivocate patriots to bigots, hate-mongers and racists. I would like to set the record straight and possibly enlighten a grave and dangerous lie in our time. I would contend that the Globalist, the Super-Nationalist or The New World Order Collectivist are the real threat to world peace. That they are more equal to fascism than any national patriot. They are enemies to individual rights and individual identities. The globalist goal and aim is to erase cultural differences and infringe upon the sovereignty of all nations. They then in contradiction to their said ideology dare to call themselves promoters of diversity, when the end sum of their ideology is totalitarian conformity. The United States of America in it's original intent tends and tended to be unique in it's national identity- in the fact that it is and was a nation of a people who yearn for liberty of multiple races and creeds. Liberty being the primary pursuit of it's people and not the state. A nation that put forward the rights of all men to be free and to protect it's people from foreign and domestic tyrants that wished to bind it's citizen to any form of vassal-ship. The very ideal of American Patriotism in its very nature is opposed to any form of collectivism- be it globalist, socialist or otherwise. Nationalism is not only important in the United States of America but is integral to all people universally, as it identifies the culture and sovereignty of all nations and their peoples. Nationalism defines the customs and rights of a nation through it's history. Nationalism solidifies a country's sovereignty and right to autonomy and thus protects an individuals rights to self-determination. I therefore contend that national identity is essential to liberty and the two cannot be separated. Taking it step further localism is a micro member of nationalism: a smaller piece to the common man's puzzle of power. Localism starts with individuals seeking out solutions and seeking other individuals. Next localism starts in communities organized for a common purpose, to protect your neighbor and empower your neighborhood. Next comes cities, counties and finally the state exercising it's tenth amendment powers as Federal watchdogs to protect it's citizens from unconstitutional tyranny. If the common man does not have the will to rule, then history demonstrates tyranny's will to power. The super-nationalists seek to enslave all men in the name of peace. When the common man surrenders liberty for comfort or security- he creates a vacuum of power, which will be quickly filled by despotism. The global super-nationalist is a utopian philosophy that through global unity, dissolution of nationalism and synthesis of opposites comes world peace. This philosophy is flawed and unrealistic as it is like trying to mix iron with clay. For in it's very nature requires the strictest uniformity and conformity that is only possible through a top down monstrous dictatorship. Thus in nature the globalist is in absolute contradiction of liberty and individualism. The ultimate enemy of humanity.
