Summary: Purple Loosestrife is an herbaceous perennial that grows 4-6 feet tall. It has pink spiked flowers that bloom from July through September and sometimes beyond. Cutback the plant to help stimulate growth. Purple Loosestrife requires full sun and well-drained soil. It makes a great addition to a mixed border, but may require staking for support.
