Healthy Granola Bars from Scratch

Easy Recipes from Scratch » Videos show

Summary: Here is a really simple granola bar recipe that takes minutes to make. It's made with homemade granola. Get the homemade granola recipe here. Most granola bar recipes call for butter and processed sugar--OK for an occasional treat, but certainly not something I want to serve my 4-year-old all the time. This recipe uses coconut oil and maple syrup as healthier alternatives. Use brown rice syrup, agave nectar, or honey instead of maple syrup for a different flavor. (Honey will produce a "stickier" bar.") We use peanut butter here, but other nut/seed butters will work as well (and will make these a  school-friendly snack.)
