For our 3rd pick here on our Slashers Podcast Brutal Summer, Jason and Ade are joined by Lance to discuss 2010’s South Korean bloody action thriller, I Saw the Devil, starring Old Boy, himself, Choi Min-Sik, and GI Joe’s Lee Byung-hun. The film was directed by Kim Jee Woo, who you may know from the creepy A Tale of Two Sisters (way better than its remake, The Uninvited) and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s The Last Stand. The film follows a secret agent who exacts revenge on his wife’s killer. As Jason said, “It’s not as bad as Inside. Or Oldboy. Think of it as a brutal Taken.” If you haven’t seen this one yet, we highly recommend you watch before listening, as spoilers are peppered in throughout the entire episode.
