A cool breeze twirled around the happy dragon. The dragon shivered and gave itself a big warm hug.

Looking off into the trees the dragon thought about how the animals had begun to slow down, and seemed a little sleepy. The dragon noticed the birds nestled in their trees, fluffed into little balls to keep themselves warm. It was time for some of the birds to travel to warmer places, and the dragon was ready to help the ones who stayed.

The caring dragon was ready with a hug or to make a little fire for the birds and animals to warm themselves. It’s good to know a friendly fire breathing dragon when the weather gets chilly.

Carrie the Cardinal watched the dragon disappear back into its cozy cave and then sang a sweet melody. She listened eagerly for her friend Gerry the robin to add the next verse. The little cardinal sat quietly waiting for music to drift back to her through the crisp air.

After a couple of minutes, Carrie decided to go check on her friend. She flew over to Gerry’s nest and noticed that the robin was very busy.
Today’s Meditation: Gently sway like the graceful willow tree in today's meditation.
Looking for stories that emphasize acceptance, understanding, and empathy?
