Kevin Williamson (Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Dawson's Creek)

Slashers show

Summary: Happy Week 3 of Pride Month!  Today’s episode features a celebration of the past and future works of Mr. Kevin Williamson! You know Williamson as the screenwriter for, oh, I dunno, this little film called SCREAM.  He’s also known for writing Teaching Mrs. Tingle, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2 and 4 (currently working on Part 5), Cursed, Halloween H20, The Faculty, Dawson’s Creek, The Vampire Diaries and a million other things us metadata whores salivate over. Jake and Ade also discuss their favorite works by Williamson--if you want to know which they chose, be sure to listen in! In addition, find out why Ade should keep her windows closed while she’s recording. We had a lot of fun with this episode, especially discussing Williamson’s writing, all his characters, and even touching on why Dawson’s Creek--of all shows--is super important. Ade even references an article from a blog, Gayly Dreadful, that discusses how influential and impactful Williamson’s movies and characters are.  If you want to read the entire article, please reference the website: https://www.gaylydreadful.com/blog/pride-2020-a-tribute-to-kevin-williamson This week's "Hidden Track" is The Swifts with their song, Zombie!
