Ep. 213 - Mark Menghi. (Metal Allegiance. BPMD)

The Brooklyn Blast Furnace show

Summary: My guest on Episode 213 of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace is a "Neighborhood guy". With roots in Brooklyn and residing in Long Island, Mark Menghi has done and continues to do amazing things. From being a regular at L'Amour to playing in local bands in venues all over New York City. He became friendly with members of legendary metal bands. He founded and put together "Metal Allegiance" with him, Dave Ellefson of "Megadeth", Mike Portnoy of "Dream Theater" and a ton of other bands and Alex Skolnick of "Testament". The even cooler thing is that they rotate guest singers and musicians. There's been appearances by Phil Anselmo, Gary Holt, Zetro, Andreas Kisser, Charlie Benante, Geezer Butler, Mark Osegueda and a ton of others. Way too many to name. He also played bass on the "BPMD" project with Bobby Blitz, Phil Demmel and Mike Portnoy as well. Super interesting guy. Much respect. Enjoy.
