Feline Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy with Dr. Phil Fox

Purr Podcast show

Summary: Dr. Phil Fox is an amazing cardiologist at the Animal Medical Center in NYC, where he sees both clients and does research in cardiac diseases. In 2018 he published a landmark paper about feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with over 1000 afflicted acts and 700 controls. This disease, like in humans, is most likely caused by a genetic mutation that is undiscovered as of yet. The most common clinical signs are arrhythmias, sudden death, congestive heart failure, and blood cots that are fatal. What an excellent episode and thank you dr. Fox.
