Episode 417 - Top Ten Live Aid Performances w/Shannon Hurley

All Time Top Ten show

Summary: On July 13 1985 or 35 years ago today, the charitable nature of Bob Geldof, Midge Ure and an avalanche of insane musical talent helped make history with a benefit concert for the ages. On two continents, in front of a television audience of 1.9 billion people, or roughly 40% of the world's population, and presented on stage in front of 175,000 people who thought they had died and gone to live music heaven, Live Aid may well be the greatest day of live music in history. In addition to raising millions to help starving and displaced refugees in Ethiopia, Live Aid brought the world together in harmony, rocking out to the "Global Jukebox". To honor such a momentous occasion, ATTT has called upon our resident Live Aid expert, the Numbers Girl herself, Ms. Shannon Hurley to count down what artists we believe had the best performances at this monumental event. Whose star shone the brightest on that amazing day? We have opinions.
