Summary: Our guest this segment is author, Dr. Vicki Smith. Vicki is an educator and childrens book author. Out of necessity she wrote a bilingual childrens book called, "Caught Red-Handed". What is so unique here is that Dr. Smith knew no spanish. She says that as an educator she saw a growing Spanish speaking student population in the district she was teaching and decided to make a challenge an opportunity instead of an obstacle. As a dedicated educator with a genuine passion and devotion to learning and teaching she took a non conventional approach. The results are of note.
