Summary: This week my guest is Jimmy Brown of the group Brick. Brick brought us some funky tunes such as Dazz, Dusic, We Don't Wanna Sit Down, Wanna Get Down and Sweat Till You Get Wet. They were and still are a well rounded versatile band that could play anything from dance songs to ballads. They were known among other things for the funky horn and flute solos in many of their tracks. That was Jimmy Brown at work. He stops by to join the Soul On Saturday and talk about his time with Brick and his music career. His New solo project which is soul-funky-baddd, is "They Call Me Dad" and all I can say is if you thought you liked what he was doing in the olden golden days of Brick, you gotta hear this new thing which of course we will be playing.
