Summary: A schlocky action movie on your favorite horror movie podcast? Yup. Why? Because we felt like it. Also, this movie is based on a novella of the same name, written by Stephen King (under his Richard Bachman pseudonym). Also also, there is a murderer who wields a bladed hockey stick and literally epitomizes the name of this show. Though it was released in 1987, it feels more like 1984, given the military state in power. The story follows Arnold Schwarzenegger (Terminator, Conan the Barbarian, Total Recall) as Ben Richards, a man framed for the murder of innocent civilians because he would not comply with heinous orders from his superiors. After breaking free from prison, he kidnaps Maria Conchita Alonso (Predator 2, Scarface, Lords of Salem) as Amber Mendez, in order to get away. Richards is once again apprehended and thrown into a gameshow where the greatest prize one can win, is their own life. Richards and his friends are chased down by violent gladiators Sub Zero, Buzzsaw, Dynamo, Fireball, and kinda Captain Freedom (Jesse Ventura- Predator, The X-Files, Demolition Man).
