Summary: On this day in Tudor history, 6th August 1549, the Crown's forces met the rebels of the Prayer Book Rebellion in another battle, the Battle of Clyst Heath.   Claire Ridgway, author and founder of the Tudor Society, shares an account of the battle of which Lord Grey said "he never, in all the wars that he had been, knew the like".
