Jan Marks

Summary: Episode 177 is Jan Marks. Jan was born in Pittsburgh and worked for City of Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS for 29 years before retiring due to a disability. Jan started her career on the Southside of Pittsburgh on Medic 8. Jan rose through the ranks and was the first female Field Supervisor for the Bureau promoted in 1987. Jan was a member of the Pittsburgh Public Safety Honor Guard and a dive team member. Jan played a key part of my wedding as she caught the bouquet. Jan and I reminisce about her career, her mentors, being a Paramedic, supervising, and working for the "City".
