#63: The Batman Coming in 2021, Ben Affleck Exits Role

Summary: The Batman is officially on the way and will land on June 25, 2021. Ben Affleck has exited the role in favor of a new, younger actor to play Bruce Wayne and his alter-ego. Director Matt Reeves says the film will be a noir-inspired detective story with Batman facing off against several members of his rogues gallery. Who could take over the role? Names like Armie Hammer and Jon Hamm have been thrown out — even Nick Jonas! James Gunn is also in negotiations to direct The Suicide Squad, which drops on August 6, 2021 and will feature a new cast and roster of characters. We also got our first look at Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn featuring Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Ella Jay Basco, Rosie Perez, Chris Messina and Ewan McGregor.
