THE BIGGER PICTURE with Timothy Spangler show

Summary: Joining us on the show this week is our Special Guest - best-selling author and entrepreneur - Stephen E. Strang! Stephen is CEO of Charisma Media, founder of Charisma magazine and the best-selling author of "God and Donald Trump". After interviewing Donald Trump, he was involved with other Christian leaders who campaigned for Trump's election. Stephen's new book, "Trump Aftershock", released November 6, 2018, explores the "President's seismic impact on culture and faith in America" and will uncover unreported facts while objectively helping readers understand what the nation's most unlikely and unconventional President has accomplished, including a featured section on these advancements called "500 Days of American Greatness." "My book deals with the many positive accomplishments after Trump's election that will not go away just over one election resulting in losing Republican control of the House," Stephen said. "I call these 'Aftershocks.' For example, taxes will still be cut; the embassy will still be in Jerusalem; Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh will still be on the Supreme Court; regulations are still cut; and America is still respected in a way it wasn't internationally. None of these things will change." Stephen was voted by Time magazine as one of the most influential Evangelicals in America. He has traveled to more than 50 countries, has interviewed four U.S. presidents, and has been featured on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, CBN, Dr. James Dobson's "Family Talk" and The Daily Caller. Also joining us on the show this week is our Special Guest - Pharmaceutical Expert and groundbreaking researcher - Dr. Josh Bloom! Josh is the Director of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Science at The American Council on Science and Health, and a recognized expert on the opioid crisis. He was the first journalist to write a nationally published opinion piece about the unintended consequences of a governmental crackdown on prescriptions opioids. Since that time he has published more than a dozen op-eds in regional and national newspapers on different aspects of the crisis. In that same year, he testified at an FDA hearing and was the only speaker to note that fentanyl was the real killer, something that would be proven years later. In 2016, Josh was also the first writer to study, dissect and ultimately debunk the manipulated statistics used by the CDC to justify its recommendations for opioid prescribing, which have resulted in draconian requirements for prescribing pain medications as well as government-mandated, involuntary tapering of patients receiving opioid treatment, both of which have caused great harm and needless suffering to chronic pain patients. His 2016 article, "Six Charts Designed to Confuse You," is the seminal work on CDC deception and has been adopted by patient advocacy groups and individuals and has been sent to governors and state legislatures. Josh joined the American Council on Science and Health in 2010 as ACSH's Director of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and has since published 50 op-eds in numerous periodicals, including for The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, New Scientist, The New York Post, National Review Online, The Boston Herald, and The Chicago Tribune, and given numerous radio and television interview on topics related to drugs and chemicals.
