Perhaps there should be a separate administration that focuses only on food, not on drugs. Salt Slander Salt has been linked to health issues like obesity, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes. Researchers have now discovered that individuals who were put on a low-salt diet were actually at more risk of heart disease and other conditions. Your body needs sodium to function properly. Sugar Sabotage Many people aren't aware of just how much sugar they're ingesting on a daily basis. One 12-ounce can of cola typically contains 39 grams of sugar, which is well over the amount the average woman should have total in one day.
