Episode 10 - It's Ok To Suck At Something

Transforming Monday show

Summary: It's extraordinarily rare that you or I can pick up a new skill, a new tool, a new technique, and instantly be an expert. That's ok. In fact, it's perfectly natural to not be good at something new. Learning through application helps to make a stronger imprint of what were learning on our neural patterns and muscle memory. The important thing when learning a new skill, etc., is that you don't give up right away. Naturally we all want to be experts right out of the gate. However, what you'll find is that what you learn along the way to becoming a "natural" can be more powerful, more impactful for you and others than simply what you've learned.
