Summary: <br> This season of The Flash has been so dark and gloomy. From the beginning it just hasn't captured the fun and joy of the first two seasons. That's why this episode, Cause and Effect worked so well. Sure, the pacing issues of this season still exist and it does seem a little late to do an episode where the hero loses his memory. But like Iris said to Barry this episode, it was nice to see Barry without the weight of the world on his shoulders. It was nice to get that Barry that was still a bit naive and hopeful. So yes, the pacing issues are definitely a problem and the explanation of who Savitar is might go over the heads of the more casual fans but oh its own, this was a pretty good episode.
