Welcome to the Clown Show - Mailbag #31 | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 1:27:41

When we decided to combine the April and May Mailbag episodes we weren't anticipating May turning into being 6 months long. Obviously we have the elephant in the room to deal with: The Snyder Cut is real!!  Ok not really. Apparently Snyder has been lying to us all and his "Snyder Cut" wasn't actually done. But because it's a clown show over at WB when it comes to DC live action movies, he was able to get WB to reverse their earlier decision and now his "Snydercut" Justice League film will be released in 2021 on HBO Max. Sure, it might cause an additional 30 - 80 million dollars to complete but what's the harm right? It's not like this reverses the positive strides the DCEU was making to move on from the terribleness. It's not like it's a dumb decision that gives into a fanbase that also overlapped heavily with the problematic GamerGate and ComicsGate shit heads. Nope. Nothing like that. Tune in as Kriss & Dpalm have a few thoughts about this recent development along with some other topics, including Dpalm putting on his dancing shoes to dance on the potential grave for Diamond Distributors. It's a fun show everyone. Strap in  Topics: * Emails * Marvel Studios moving towards Young Avengers? * Apparently there was some news from WB/DC that generated a bunch of email comments. Wonder what that was.... * Topics * WB reverses course on the SnyderCut * Turns out Snyder lied and the "SnyderCut" isn't done * It's gonna cost how much?  * What is WB's end goal/plan for its DC movies? * Ruby Rose is Not Coming Back to Batwoman * The Death of Diamond?  Agents of Shield Season 7x1 Review The King is Back - Super Tuesday Recap | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 32:43

Oh it's been too long. WAY TOO LONG. But The King is Back. Agents of SHIELD is back for it's seventh and final season. Oh how we've missed this show. This season is picking up right where we left off last season and is promising to bring us full circle. To save SHIELD in the future the team has to save Hydra? Oh yeah let's do it. Between Agents and Legends of Tomorrow, we have two shows that know how to have a fun time but also hit us in our feelings right when we least expected it. Seeing LMD Coulson get the rush of emotions of experiencing all that he's been through the last 2 years including his death and final goodbyes was rough. But it's also nice to know that he's basically the same Coulson with the same bad jokes (with a basic super power upgrade).  Also gotta appreciate the racism and sexism they slipped into the episode sine the team is back in 1931. I mean, Mack might be Director of SHIELD but he's still a large black man in 1931. We appreciate the historical accuracy.  Listen as we discuss this episode and strap in, it's gonna be a fun finale season.   Like what you hear?  Legends of Tomorrow S5E14 Ultimate Buds Review | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 18:44

It's a TV show(s) inside of a TV show. Once again we're left asking "How can you not love Legends of Tomorrow?" Charlie "saved" the Legends by resuming her role as one of the Fates and putting the Legends on TV shows that gave each Legend what they "wanted". Of course that doesn't go as planned because when do the Legends ever behave like little good boys and girls? Once again sounding like a broken record, this episode does a great job of balancing the ridiculousness (Ultimate Buds!!!) with the serious (Ava remembering seeing Sara die, Behrad remembering he's dead on every timeline and John making a sacrifice so Astra can be happy). This show is so great.  Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month. If you want to send in your own questions and thoughts, email us: Mailbag@MTRNetwork.Net   Like what you hear?  Supergirl S5E19 Review – Ether - Super Tuesday Recap | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 35:31

Photo courtesy of the CW Apologies for the late podcast. Quarantine might have taken Supergirl out early but we're still working hard.  So...we knew we were leaving off on a cliffhanger but it's nice to see it works like old school ones.  Kara dropped a lot of burns on Lena-well deserved burns.  We are still not fans of them saving the world with an inspirational speech but...hey it's Supergirl.  Lex doing Lex stuff is awesome, Brainy needs to go ahead and complete this heel turn and become the villain we deserve, J'onn and M'Gann are cute but it's hard seeing their human selves in those Martian suits.  Where is Cisco when we need him?   Like what you hear?  Legends of Tomorrow S5E13 Review - Get In Losers We're Going Looming | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 27:46

We're not gonna let the latest news from WB get us down (Ruby Rose exiting Batwoman and WB caves to the lunatics with the "Snydercut"). We'll save all that for next week's Mailbag episode. Instead we're going to focus on the greatness that is Legends of Tomorrow. Get in losers, we're going looming. * No one can waste 24 hours of immortality like the Legends * Gary tries the "save the day" and fails cause...Gary * Nice to  see Amy Louise Pemberton in the flesh again as Gideon * Zari and John finally cut through the sexual tension (Nate stays losing) * Another week, another episode of the Legends parodying pulp culture As always, it's great to see this show balance ridiculous with the serious (lot of reflections on death this episode). It helps when its clear the cast really enjoys hanging out with each other. Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month.  Supergirl Season 5 Episode 18 Review: So Smart They're Stupid - Super Tuesday Recap | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 34:27

Brainy and Lena are the dumbest smart people in the CW universe.  You both KNOW what Lex was like pre-crisis cause you have your memories-why in the HELL are you still trusting him?  Especially you Lena.  Big dummy.  Brainy and Nia being apart does not work for either of us.  Lena being this dense and stupid is exhausting to watch.   We also came up with a fool proof plan to incorporate Melissa Benoist's pregnancy seamlessly into the show-but it requires that Will comes back next season.   Like what you hear?  Legends of Tomorrow S5E12 Review Pledging Legends | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 20:56

Apparently there are people that review Legends of Tomorrow seriously. We do not understand how that is possible. I mean they just did an episode where they hit every possible Frat/Sorority movie trope there is. HOW DO YOU TAKE THAT SERIOUSLY? This isn't a review, but an appreciation for greatness. Our only real complaint is trying to figure out where they came up with that version of beer pong. I mean in the age of corona, beer pong is clearly dead but that won't keep us for thinking about the "good ole days"  Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month.  The Flash S6E19 Review Mirror Master Wins | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 27:45

The pandemic has cut this season of The Flash short which is a shame because this was a really good season. And all things considered, this finale made the best of the situation and put together a pretty solid finale that ends with the villain winning and some really interesting prospects for the next season.  * Eva as Mirror Master is going to give Barry and Team Flash all  kinds of problems. Add in her own team of dangerous female villains and we don't see an easy way out of this one for the team * Gotta love how they let Danielle Panabaker be a part of this entire season through her pregnancy. Other shows have written off their female characters when an actress gets pregnant but Danielle not only directed an episode  but also had her character appear in more episodes than Carlos Valdes or Jesse L Martin * We end the season with Barry still not having his powers at 100%. We have clues as to how he gets them back but this puts us in a really interesting position to start season 7 * There's still a lot of open threads that will be fun to explore: * Barry's Powers * What Eva really wants * How do Iris, Kamilla and Singh escape the mirrorverse and what happened to Iris at the end? * What is Bloodwork's long game? Kudos to the show  for making us give a shit about Bloodwork * What's going on with Godspeed? * When is Thawne going to return to fuck up Barry's life even more?  Supergirl S5E17 Review We Been Knew | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 30:13

Image courtesy of The CW Network C'mon...how could Lex not have been masterminding stuff behind the scenes after Crises?  This entire latter half of the season stinks of his influence.  We discuss Lex's machinations, the impact of COVID-19 on the rest of the season, J'onn needing an on site love, and Kara being real damn dumb by not reactivating the anti-Luthor protocol in the Fortress after Lena tried to grab Myriad THE FIRST TIME!   Like what you hear?  Legends of Tomorrow S5E11 Ship Broken Review | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 24:28

We don't know what you want us to do with this show. We can't review it. A recap doesn't do it justice. The only thing we've settled on is a few minutes of appreciation for the humor and brilliance of the show. I mean come on. Mick brings his daughter to a time ship for some father-daughter time, Gary (goddamn it Gary) brings his emotional support dog that turns out to be a hell hound, Sara's blind but can also see the future kinda (and can still kick your ass), the ship is completely broken and more. What can we say. This show is so much fun. And we get episodes until June. Lucky us. Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month.  The Flash S6E18 Pay the Piper Review | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 26:20

Well it looks like this is the penultimate episode of The Flash season 6. It's a shame too. Not because this season has been bad or this episode wasn't good but rather because this has been a great season that the pandemic has cut short. To be honest, it's a testament to how good this season has been that they've been able to work around the current crisis (no pun intended) and still hit the important pieces and tell a coherent story. This is not something that they could have done in previous seasons.  There are a couple things that are very clear to us: * The writers of this season are clearly a fan of the current Flash comic run (which honestly has been some of the best writing for Barry Allen) * Eva is gonna be a huge problem * The end of this season isn't going to resolve all the plot points and issues and we're definitely okay with that. The show is already confirmed for season 7 so lets keep this train going * Ralph is a great goddamn life coach. The Ralph Hive keeps going strong Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month.  Legends of Tomorrow S5E10 The Great British Fake Off | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 16:16

Poor Nate. He's assumed the Ray role of always falling in love with the woman that soon becomes unavailable or falls for someone else. We pointed out the chemistry between Constantine and "New" Zari and this episode makes it even more clear. Nate always loses his girl. We really love how this show takes the small things that don't seem to be important and turns them into major plot points. Earlier this season Ava was trying to figure out how to fit into the team and get them to listen to her and this episode she takes charge as captain with Sara down. Not only that but then using her own experiences being lied to and used to convince Astrid to come back from hell with her, you really gotta love how this show does character development.  The Flash S6E17 Liberation Review | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 23:26

Bloodwork is back (kinda) this episode and that wasn't even the biggest thing to happen this episode. Barry has figured out that Iris isn't really Iris, the problem he sounds batshit insane trying to prove it. Also, he's no match for Eva. What really works this episode is the acting. With Barry's powers acting up, you'd think that the episodes would be a little slow with the show not leaning on that. But The Flash has such strong acting and Grant and Candice have such great chemistry its a joy just watching them act off each other.  Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month.  Legends of Tomorrow S5E9 Zari Not Zari | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 20:27

We've really missed this show. And it doesn't disappoint after a month break by hitting the ground running. We get one of the murderous Fates, Zari meeting Zari, Mick trying to win his daughter's love and a Supernatural crossover. All in like 42  minutes. If you don't like  Legends then we just don't know what to tell you. Kriss and Dpalm record the Mailbag at the end of every month.  The Flash S6E16 So Long And Goodnight | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 21:35

The CW Shows have returned for what seems like the longest break every. We know the pandemic is gonna cut some things short as we get towards the end of the seasons but The Flash is  handling things pretty well. This has been a really good season which sucks that they might end up rushing to get to the end. The good news is they've been setting things up all season so it shouldn't be too bad. They've done a really great job with Mirrorverse Iris always using legit issues with Barry to manipulate him the way Eva  wants. Also...come on Joe...normally Barry's the reckless one running headfirst into situations with the villain. But  most  importantly...we get the return of Sue. That's all that really matters here.
