Summary: In an earlier episode of TalkEM we introduced the mnemonic “Who’s Your PAPPA” to utilize when assessing and diagnosing chest pain. In this episode we dive deeper into one of the five components of the PAPPA mnemonic by exploring complexities of assessing and diagnosing a pneumothorax. A pneumothorax can be tricky. Even experienced clinicians can miss a small, simple pneumothorax which can be catastrophic.
