#100 – The First Hundo’s The Hardest, Grab Bag, HRs, KOs and More

That One Sports Show show

Summary:
That’s right, we’ve hit triple digits. Never again will we do an episode with only two numbers.

Would You Rather

Be a phenomenal rookie (like Aaron Judge/Cody Bellinger) and then fizzle out or never gain notoriety (like the backup for Derek Jeter, exactly you can’t name him)?

Toss Up

Over/Under 4.5 trades in NBA draft tonight

John takes the under and Geoff took the over.

Last week it was: what will the higher number be, Phillies wins or Aaron Judge homeruns. Judge had 2, Phillies had 1, so both John and Geoff win.

John (13-8-2)
Geoff (10-11-2)

In Memoriam

Throughout the last 100 episodes we’ve had some ideas and tried some segments and wanted to take a moment to remember those failed ideas. If you’d like to see one come back, let us know.

30 for 30 in 30

Sports cliches

Old timey twitter

Hour long shows

Sponsors

Half hour minisode Mondays

Reviewing Video Games

Doing the show live

Ohio Sports Updates

Columbus Crew – lost 3-1 to Atlanta United this past weekend, play Montreal Impact this weekend. They sit at 7-9-1 6th in Eastern Conference.

Indians – 39-32, 1st in American League Central – Jose Ramirez was named AL Player of the Week after hitting .516 last week which included a sweep of the Minnesota Twins.

Reds – 30-41, 5th in National League Central, slid back down

MLB Headlines

Aaron Judge invited to the Home Run derby. He was also put on the All-Star team by huge numbers. Fellow rookie Cody Bellinger wasn’t on the ballot, but could be invited to the Home Run Derby. Would be pretty awesome to see both go toe-to-toe.

Kyle Schwarber aka Schwarbie, aka Joe Buck’s BFF, was sent down to AAA after continued poor performance this year. It brings John great joy, only because Schwarber helped beat the Indians in the World Series this past year.

Other Headlines

Sunday June 18, International Cricket Council Champions Trophy – Pakistan trounced India – Pakistan won by 180 runs

NHL Draft this Friday. Goalie Bob and Johnny Torts won some trophies and the Blue Jackets protected all their players by giving up their first-round draft pick to the Las Vegas Golden Knights.

Connor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather will duke it out later this year in the boxing ring, but does McGregor stand a chance.
